The Betfair Sportsbook will take down its UFC 200 specials at around 11:30pm BST tonight.
For those of you unaware, I've written a few posts about these markets since they first went up a little over a fortnight ago. In this post, I'll go through the WWE/UFC/Brock Lesnar specific propositions, but urge you to check out the many other markets that are available on Betfair's MMA Page.
Brock Lesnar To Perform A German Suplex 8/1
The odds have remained the same for the entire time the market has been open to punters.
Brock Lesnar To Wear A Suplex City T-Shirt On His Entrance To The Cage 14/1
This one opened at 10/1 and is now 14/1. I wasn't sold on it happening to start off with. Lesnar wore the Canadian UFC gear from Reebok to the weigh-ins yesterday. I still can't see him wearing his WWE shirt.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson To Be Announced As A UFC Competitor On The Night? 20/1
Another selection that has been increased. It opened 16/1.
Brock Lesnar To Get An Instant Title Shot If He Wins 8/1
This one opened 8/1 and has evidently stayed at that price. If Lesnar wins, I do envision him getting a title shot. This is a big IF, though. Plus, I don't know how instant he would be added to the title picture. Because of this, I have opted to take 5/1 on Lesnar winning tonight and then his next fight being for the Heavyweight Title with Paddy Power. Read yesterday's post where I wrote about it.
Sable To Be A Special Guest Octagon Girl 28/1
Another option that has stayed at the same price for the two weeks.
The Undertaker To Call Out Brock Lesnar Again? 10/1
This market plays into one of Lesnar's previous fights when The Undertaker was in attendance and the two did a worked shoot to set up a match for WrestleMania that didn't end up taking place. A Mania match did eventually end up happening, but it was long afterwards. If anyone is going to call out Lesnar tonight, it should be Randy Orton but can only see him just being there in attendance.
Vince McMahon To Be In Attendance? 13/2
I was high on this one back when it was 12/1. I took the odds on the off-chance that WWE would have a corporate representative in attendance and that person be Vince McMahon himself. It's apparent that the agreement between the two companies isn't as strong as I had envisioned because the fight hasn't been mentioned on TV and Stephanie McMahon is on record saying that the company does not necessarily support the fight. It's very peculiar. So, as you can probably tell, the slight chance I thought this bet had of coming in has decreased due to how the fight wasn't strongly promoted by WWE.
Even though these markets will close within an hour of this post going live, the match markets will still remain open through the night.
As of right now, Lesnar is 6/5. Mark Hunt is favourite at 4/6. If you aren't a Betfair customer, there is a special offer where customers can get 8/1 odds for Brock. You can read all about it in this post.
If you are thinking of taking any of these bets, or have done so already, good luck. We're going to need it!
