Last Night's Faux Pas

Before I begin this morning’s post, I’d like to state from the off that I messed up when it came to watching the Nikki Bella and Becky Lynch moves in betting for the Six-Pack Challenge last night. I own this mistake.

If you’ve followed what I do for a regular length of time, you’ll be aware that – on PPV Sundays- I make frequent checks through the odds and then publish a post relaying the information I find as soon as I have completed the tracking. I always note where the money appears to have gone. While viewing the Six-Pack Challenge, I observed that Nikki Bella was a +700 outsider at 10pm BST. At this point, Becky Lynch was -1050, so went ahead and began to write up the post.

Twenty-four minutes after noting these odds, writing out my findings and then publishing the post, I looked back at the markets and saw that Nikki Bella was showing as a -115 joint-favourite alongside Becky Lynch.  After seeing The Miz and Dolph Ziggler’s roles flip previous to this, I made a judgement call and predicted that Nikki Bella would win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Nikki being the eventual victor obviously turned out not to be the case as money later came back in on Becky Lynch.

I’d like to believe that, if ten people were in a similar position, at least nine would have made the same assumption as I did based on past experiences in the three plus years I have been keeping tabs on WWE lines.

This mistake will now be added to this experience.

  1. I'm losing my house now because of you, Mr Taylor! j/k...

What's on the agenda for me is to convince PaddyPower and betfair to void the Orton bet. I'm hoping as many as possible will join me in this crusade on Twitter and/or support chat. It's only a matter of time before another wrestler fails to make a date and they do this lame forfeit angle.

  3. In all reality we should have all thought Becky.... It's the "new era" after all! Thanks for all the hard work David!

  4. Don't be silly mate! It's an educated guess much like all of gambling is. Regardless of what smart money is on who, we never actually know until the referee hits that final 3 count. You're the only one taking the time out of your life to do this and keep us all informed of the odds and the best places to get the best profits and I'm sure I'll not be wrong in saying me and a few other regulars here have made a tidy profit now and again because of your efforts.
Delete this article mate because there's no explanation needed! Lol

    1. Cheers mate. There are more than me doing this, but I appreciate the words.

  5. I'd just like to post that Paddy Power have refunded all bets on Randy Orton. I have been in constant contact with them since Monday Morning and as of this afternoon they have void all bets on Orton. Good! Common sense finally prevails.
