Becky Lynch Might Be Doubtful For No Mercy

There have been some rumours circulating this evening concerning Becky Lynch and whether she'll be able to defend the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship at No Mercy tomorrow night.

The news has had a mild impact over at 5Dimes.com where Lynch's opponent, Alexa Bliss, has had a slight drop from +805 to +750.

As a result, the compilers have improved Lynch's price from -1705 to -1580.

Over here, a number of betting websites have taken down their markets overnight. Sky Bet, which opened with Bliss at 8/1 is still showing her at those odds. Becky is 1/20.

The Kambi websites had Becky a 1/10 favourite earlier today. However, her price has shortened to 1/20. Alexa's odds have increased from 19/4 to 13/2 pointing to the news not having any impact so far.

It'll be interesting to see how the company covers this setback. A month ago, Randy Orton was unable to wrestle Bray Wyatt at Backlash. Their match ended with Wyatt being awarded a forfeit victory and most bookmakers ended up paying out on the non-match. I personally cannot see this angle being done again so soon after Orton-Wyatt.

Prices correct as of 10:50pm BST.

  1. If the match is most likely going to be scratched, wouldn't it be worth it to bet on Bliss since if the match does get scratched you still get all your money back? This way if WWE does the DQ or forfeit method you would win? Not sure, just trying to throw some idea's out while I make my bets.

    1. After last month, I think it would be a bad idea personally.

    2. I should of said that I got Becky Lynch at -110 early back so my idea was more hedging against the small chance chance they do that to make sure I don't lose on a fluke with good odds. But yeah these PPV's have been all over the place recently, unfortunately.
