Kambi Voids Time Bets On No Mercy 2016 Main Event

Kambi Sportsbooks have voided all time prop bets that were placed on tonight's WWE No Mercy main event.

The sports betting companies had installed the market on Friday where customers could bet on the match going '22 minutes or over' or '19:59 or under'.

When I became aware that customers had received their stakes back, I looked back at the rules of the bet and can sort of see what has happened.

The rules read: Stakes will be refunded in case no bell is rung to signal the end of the match, no decision is announced or the match is restarted, given that the actual match duration has not already been exceeded. In such cases bets will stand and will be settled accordingly. Bets void should there be any change from the advertised participants.

During the bout, Dean Ambrose and John Cena both appeared to forced AJ Styles to submit. A bell was sounded, but the referee called for the match to continue.

It wasn't restarted, but that bell played a part in ruining the bet from being a winner. The bet states that it was 'Match duration from bell to bell' and the middle bell seems to have forced the bookmakers to cancel all wagers on this prop.

Wade Keller, who is running a live report of the event on the Pro Wrestling Torch Website, recorded the time at 22:00 minutes, so - had the bell not sounded following the teased finish, the 'Over' would have hit to the second.

Update: Stingersplash has actually followed up and noted that his timing of the match was set at 21:30. Therefore, had the bookies settled this, it would have been a win for '21:59 and under'.

    1. I was on live chat to them for ages and they was sticking to their 'they didnt get in the ropes'. It should say in-ring appearence then not ring appearence surely... Ohh wellll

    2. They have 'Must actually appear in the ring' as the rule. That's why I thought it was going to be a fine line call.

    1. Shane was wrong.

Match didn't end as there was no winner announced.

It was all to do with the bell.

    2. WWE.com wrote that the referee 'could not declare a winner, instead ordering the match to continue'.
