This hints that tonight's Intercontinental Championship match could end with current titleholder, The Miz, going over and forcing his opponent into retirement.
From a betting perspective, Miz is an outsider to win this match.
He's +110 over at 5Dimes.com and is an underdog in every market here in Europe. As of the time of writing, Miz's domestic odds are as follows:
11/8 SkyBet.com
13/10 Unibet.com and all of these sites
6/5 Coral.co.uk
11/10 WilliamHill.com
It should go without saying that plans can change. The information sent out could also be a red herring.
To be clear with you, I believe Dolph Ziggler is winning tonight. I just thought it was worth sharing this information for those of you who are looking for something to justify backing The Miz in this spot.
Prices correct as of 10:35am BST.
Just like last PPV then... 5Dimes' odds aren't (so far) reflecting what will go down.
ReplyDeleteTheres going to be some upsets again for sure by looks of it
DeleteThis information makes me feel the miz is going to win. Theres just so much information about ziggler retiring whether its to follow his stand up career or become a backstage producer like jamie noble etc. It would also make the miz even greater and make the IC title look better etc. Going to be an exciting night!
DeleteI already take Miz. In fan polls Dolph is heavy favorite (around 70% votes), and on 5dimes he is just 60%. I think Ziggler should be around -500. So because of that i take current IC champion
DeleteAlso i dont get why Baron so favorite. If would be moves on Jack side.. i will definitely take him
I wouldn't be surprised if they have Swagger go over due to another ref mistake like they did on Tuesday.
DeleteI haven't bet on Miz yet. Jericho and New Day upsets last PPV still fresh in my mind... Time will tell what's going on with 5Dimes' odds, but I agree with Mr Kaye that we're probably looking at more upsets.
DeleteMr Петров, thanks for bringing attention to the fan polls, but I'd be more interested in a poll answered by us bettors on this site: how many at this point are willing to put their neck on the line and back Miz? There's potential for huge profit. Wouldn't mind if you made a post with a survey, Mr Taylor.
It's too late to do any surveys this month, I agree about needing to gauge an audience that bets on wrestling rather than just watches it, though.
DeleteAlso if the would be "celebration of Dolph Ziggler's career".. maybe because he will win and celebrate his title win?
ReplyDeleteIt's a reoccurring thing with Dolph ziggler. I don't like betting on him because it could go either way. What's going on with betfair? It's unusual that they haven't published anything..
ReplyDeleteI don't know what's happened with Betfair or Paddy Power.
DeleteI think they done with WWE.
DeleteI notice month ago that they start to acting strange (close odds early than usual, close odds for Jericho 2 weeks ago and keep Zayn odds alive).
They also close WM odds
I don't think they are done.
DeleteThat long-winded comment bag published during the week which referenced smart money probably alarmed them. Too much of a coincidence. Paddy Power and Betfair have been offering odds for years.
DeletePlease don't be naive.
DeleteHaha if you think bookies have only just found out about smart money you're being very silly
DeleteI was telling him to stop being naive about my blog post being long-winded!
DeleteOh i know but it looks like he thinks bookies have found out about smart money and stopped making markets. Which is silly because theres tonnes of fan money involved still
DeleteFair enough guys. You are entitled to your opinions. Mr Taylor does fantastic work. I'm not knocking him. But I don't think i'm being naive here.
Delete@Jordan, I was pulling your leg!
Delete@Anonymous, I guarantee you are being naive here. Trust me.
Ziggler beat Miz last night even after Maryse interfered
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't place bets on how house show matches are booked,
DeleteZiggler is 7-0 vs Miz in one-on-one competition at house shows since Sept 12th, as he should be.
DeleteLast Thursday's house show the faces won 7-1.
David id love to hear your opinion on my selections:
ReplyDelete- Becky (match will probably get called off)
- Heath and Rhyno (i still believe uso's turning heel is just a team for these to face and not to take the titles.)
- Miz (due to cable companies having 'a look over zigglers career after exiting WWE' )
- Carmella (first singles match with nikki. Heel should go over if feud continues )
- Randy Orton (losing to lesnar and then again at their 'rematch' needs a win)
If Becky wasn't injured, she should have won.
DeleteI would have kept the straps on Heath and Rhyno. The reason why is Rhyno is in his local election in November. Knowing WWE, they should keep the belt on him until after November so all the news stories will be about him being a champion etc.
I still like the idea that Martin came up with regarding the IC title match: Miz cheats to win, it looks like Ziggler has to retire, but then the match is restarted.
- I sort of think it's time Carmella lost to Nikki.
- If Orton is moving to a feud with AJ Styles, he should defeat Wyatt.
Thanks for taking the time for that David i appreciate it
DeleteNo worries.
DeleteSorry to keep bothering you David but do you feel Apollo Crews is most likely the mystery partner tonight? Im really convinced he is personally
DeleteI really don't know!
DeleteMiz winning by cheating, then match restarting was my idea! Hahaha
DeleteI find it strange why the cable networks would need to know about a celebration? Unless it's going to be a long slot before a commercial.
It's for the information that is displayed on screen not to do with broadcast length etc.
DeleteOh okay, that makes more sense.
