Survivor Series Last Man Standing Rules Corrected

Earlier today, I published a post where I went through the Survivor Series specials that were published at PaddyPower.com this morning and noted that I needed some clarification on how the last person standing markets would be settled.

For example, the bookmaker has a market like this:

The wording of the market would imply that you're betting on the 'Last Man Standing'. As a Survivor Series team could end with more than one winner, I contacted Paddy Power's Live Chat for clarification. I was told that 'it would be the last man standing overall'.

It has now been brought to my attention that this is not the case. If you look at the SportsBet Australia WWE odds that are a mirror of the Paddy Power markets, you can see the rule is written above the market.

The rule state that it 'Applies to the last RAW Superstar to officially fight in the match. Dead heat may apply. Others may be added.'

Paddy Power should have been more clear on this and customer service should have also noticed there was ambiguity over how this could end up being settled when I brought it to his attention today.

    It apply only for team, which win? for example, if team SD win and Roman will be last eliminated.. he is RAW last man standing? or team RAW need a win to win a bet?

      Going by the rules and how I interpret them, it's the final person for each team. So, if Roman is eliminated last that wins. If he is pinned by AJ for Smackdown, he should win.

      So both markets pay out and there could be more than one man on the winning side, but the wrestler who eliminates the last man for the opposing team wins.
