Betfair Customers Backing Neville, Styles And Reigns

Customers of the Betfair Sportsbook have evidently been favouring Neville, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles to win their respective matches at this weekend's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

The Cruiserweight Championship market was showing Neville as a 1/3 favourite yesterday night. This price has fallen right down to 1/7.

As a result of this change - the current titleholder, Rich Swann, has moved out from 2/1 to 4/1.

Roman Reigns backers have forced the oddsmakers to cut the Universal Championship challenger from 4/6 to 8/15.

This means those of you who believe Kevin Owens will get the decision can find him at an improved price to what he was yesterday. As of the time of writing, KO is 11/8 from 11/10.

A victory by AJ Styles will keep the WWE World Championship in his possession for at least another fortnight. With many people predicting that Styles will drop the title in the Elimination Chamber in February, the customers have obviously sided with Styles to defeat John Cena at the Rumble. A winning bet on Styles will double your stake. Previous to today, you were looking at 6/5.

If you think Cena will get a result over Styles, you can find him at 8/11. This is a slight improvement from the 8/13 from yesterday.

One thing worth pointing out is John Cena is due a win against AJ Styles. With all the talk about Randy Orton potentially winning the Royal Rumble, Bray Wyatt claiming the title in the Elimination Chamber on February 12th and Shane McMahon .vs. AJ Styles possibly being a match at WrestleMania 33, there is a good chance that AJ will remain WWE Champion ahead of February's PPV. So, if the above scenarios come into play, one way to protect Cena - and get something back from his previous losses to Styles - is to have him win, but where the title does not change hands.

Odds correct as of 1:30pm GMT. Betfair's WWE Royal Rumble markets are found under 'Special Bets' at Betfair.com.

  1. If Undertaker wins Royal rumble, then what does Finn balor do at WrestleMania ?

    1. If it is Reigns v Taker, my guess is Balor vs Strowman.

    2. I mean if smackdown guy wins Royal rumble, then do you think balor can be the challenger for universal championship since he never lost the title

    3. Not at Mania, no.

The rumoured Raw Mania matches are: Reigns vs Taker, Owens vs Jericho and Lesnar vs Goldberg. So one of these bouts will be for the title depending on where stories progress.

Balor and Strowman are out, so it makes sense to have them paired up.

  2. Instead of Styles vs Shane, do you think Styles vs balor could be some kind of interpromotional match and these two have history to back it up

    1. It could be, but I doubt it as they've already started laying the teases for Shane/AJ.

    2. Don't you think that feels like a waste of Styles talent after he had such a red hot 2016
