In a post published the other day, I mentioned that James Ellsworth has been campaigning to get himself a place in this year's Royal Rumble. He had been taken off the board on Paddy Power's 'In Ring Appearance' market, so pointed out that those that had bet on him participating in the battle royal were possibly due a win.
Andres has just gotten in touch to tell me that Ellsworth is still available in the similar market that's over on Betfair's Specials Page. He's 1/2.
In the earlier post about Ellsworth, I stated that WWE wouldn't allow this sort of campaign to be done if the end result is for him to make an appearance in the match, so there's a good chance of him being one of the thirty entrants on January 29th.
This doesn't mean he isn't expendable. There's a chance, albeit slim, of him not making the cut on the final day. Still - I think the company wouldn't run with this on the social media platform if it wasn't going to deliver.
