Angle Taken OTB In WrestleMania Appearance Betting

Following yesterday evening's announcement that he will headline this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, Kurt Angle's name has been taken off the board from WrestleMania 33 appearance betting markets.

Betfair.com and the betting websites that run Kambi markets were accepting wagers on Angle showing up in-house at any point during the April 2nd event.

The former WWE and TNA World Champion opened at odds of 6/4 when the market first opened in early September. Then, within a few weeks, he had drifted out to 7/4 before dropping down to the 5/4 he was yesterday evening shortly before they were removed.

Kambi's market was also published at the start of September. He opened at EVENS, but fell to 4/6 somewhere within two months. He remained at that number until last night.

WWE tends to dedicate a few minutes of its WrestleMania broadcast to honouring its latest Hall of Fame inductees, so it's very likely that people holding 'Kurt Angle' betting slips are due a win on April 2nd.
