Since publishing the recent post, Randy Orton's odds to win tonight's battle royal have plummeted some more.
He is now a -1850 favourite to outlast the twenty-nine other participants entered for the match. The previous number I gave out was -915.
The Field has jumped out to +900 from +505 in this time.

I still, even with those odds, believe this is just internet rumors (Meltzer, etc..) getting the better of betters as opposed to anything significant.
ReplyDeleteMy money is solidly on Jericho, Braun, Balor, and Taker. Those four make just too much sense and I believe one of them is winning.
I wouldn't be surprised if Orton ends up going + in short time.
I really am hoping Orton isn't winning. He doesn't need it at all. Randy vs Bray without title is big enough.

DeleteOdds can (and have) in the past switched 30-60 minutes before show started. So its not official yet but if the odds keep getting heavier and don't switch then 99.99% confirms.

I have money on Taker, Lesnar, Braun, and Bray. Orrin is sitting there for me at -270. Should I pull the trigger? I hate the thought of him winning.

DeleteThanks, I know - just was curious since the lines everywhere else seem to indicate that the Orton rumor was true. I just keep thinking about a last minute swerve like the Lesnar/Goldberg match. Surely Vince can't be happy if Orton in fact is/was slated to win. I've bet all + money plays (Styles, Reigns, Swann, and other besides Orton) in hopes a few hit.
DeleteI guess Orton drifting out slightly to -1200 will be due to people backing the field. Wish more places done the field betting, 8/1 would have been too good to miss.
