WrestleMania 33 : Sunday Morning Lines

Now that we've finally reached WrestleMania Sunday, I've taken a look through the match markets that are available on the 5Dimes Sportsbook's board to both see how the markets have changed overnight and to have a checkpoint to compare the odds later today.

In this post, I'll go through each market and note the prices starting with the Cruiserweight Championship and working up to Bray Wyatt .vs. Randy Orton.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
This market is still showing Neville at -1,750 and Austin Aries out at +850. I noted yesterday night that Aries' price had dropped from +950 somewhere between 8:30pm and 11pm BST.

WWE Smackdown Women's Championship
As it stands currently, Naomi is a -420 favourite to win back the Smackdown Women's Championship tonight. Her price has remained stationary since yesterday evening after becoming the betting fave. The only person close to Naomi in the betting is Carmella. She is at +320. The other selections are: Alexa Bliss +9,500; Becky Lynch +9,500; Mickie James +9,500 and Natalya +13,500.

Andre the Giant Battle Royal
Something does not sit right with me with this market. As of this moment, Sami Zayn has become the favourite to win the battle royal. He's -125. Braun Strowman has stayed at +100
Mojo Rawley - who drifted back out to +3,000 after lowering to +1,500 over the weekend - remains at +3,000 with 5Dimes. A look over the domestic markets for this match is showing Rawley's odds having been slashed overnight. For example, Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page had him at 7/1 last night and is now offering 7/2.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
I must be in the Twilight Zone of Mania odds as this is another market that has me curious. The market hasn't moved since early Saturday evening. Enzo Amore and Big Cass are -175, Gallows and Anderson are +168 while Cesaro and Sheamus are +1,100. The lack of movement could point to the Hardy Boys rumours of a Mania return being a thing. I'm intrigued to see how this one plays out because I would have had Gallows and Anderson win this match (bad dynamic with two babyface teams up against heels) and - if the Hardys were coming in - to save it for the Post-Mania Raw.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
This has stayed with Dean Ambrose a +850 outsider to successfully retain the Intercontinental Title over Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf is -1,750.

WWE US Championship
The US Championship market is priced like the Intercontinental with the champ - Chris Jericho - out at +850 and the challenger, Kevin Owens, at -1,750.

WWE Raw Women's Championship
Bayley has stayed at -1,500 to retain the Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks (+1,400), Cbarlotte (+1,400) and Nia Jax (+5,500).

Shane McMahon .vs. AJ Styles
AJ Styles remains a -1,625 favourite for this match. A winning bet on McMahon will pay out at odds of +775.

Seth Rollins .vs. Triple H
Another market still showing the same pricing as last night. Seth Rollins is -1,750 to defeat Triple H (+850).

Mixed Tag Team Match
John Cena and Nikki Bella are -1,975 favourites to get a result over The Miz and Maryse (+975). This market is yet another that is unchanged from last night.

Roman Reigns .vs. The Undertaker
The Undertaker's odds have dropped since last night. When I last recorded his price, The Deadman was +675. He is now down to +500. As a result, Roman Reigns has been improved from -1,475 to -900.

WWE Universal Championship
Fans, or speculative punters, have backed Goldberg's odds as they have been cut from +1,450 into +1,350. Brock Lesnar is now a -3,250 favourite. The previous number I have is -4.050.

WWE World Championship
Just like with the previous two markets, it appears as though there has been a speculative punt on the outsider as Bray Wyatt's odds have been cut. He had been +650, but is now +500. The Viper has been moved from -1,350 into -900.

And there you go. I hope to have many updates across the day and into the show.

All of these odds were correct at 8am BST this morning. Up to date pricing can be found under 'Other Sports' on the betting board at 5Dimes.com.

  1. To you David, do the drops on Bray, Taker and Charlotte, do they look like the drops we saw for Fastlane on Sasha and Reigns? They all dropped at the exact same time. Thanks in advance.

    1. In my opinion, the drops last night were speculative punts on outsiders. The tell is them also coming in on Bill Goldberg.

    2. yeah that is the one that puzzles me. It was weird though, cause for Fastlane the drops started at 9am BST (3am where I live). This morning, the drops happened at almost the exact same time (I was checking throughout the night.) Saw them at basically 9am BST, for the moves today. I am probably overthinking this while running on low sleep.

  2. Do you think David Vince is yet to make his mind up who should win the Andre the Giant memorial and recently was throwing around the idea of Mojo or Sami to people?

Mojo betting market is definitely the weirdest this PPV

    1. He doesn't throw ideas around. People throw the ideas to him. He's going to do what he wants to do.

  3. The odds for Wyatt are really telling. Yesterday, so many were sure smart money was coming in, since Wyatt quickly went from favorite to underdog. But slowly, things are changing. I don't think it was smart money then. I just think folks were assuming the good guy in the feud was winning. But since Wyatt is gaining more and more traction this morning, I feel really confident he is winning. I expect to see Wyatt at around -400 or so very soon and then on to being a huge favorite as we get closer to showtime.

    1. I don't think Orton is winning this now. The odds moved across most matches at the same time.

    2. Wait, I am confused by what you are saying here. Earlier (in these comments), you said you thought the odds moving across most matches at the same time seemed like speculative punts. If that's the case, you would believe those are speculative punts on Wyatt, but not enough to say he is winning. But in you response to me just now, you say you don't think Orton is winning. Am I misunderstanding what you posted?

    3. Yesterday evening is when potential smart money came in. The odds moves I wrote about above, and in the comments, I believe is from people making speculative punts on outsiders.

    4. Sorry, pookungfu just showed where the error is. I meant I don't think Wyatt is winning now.

    5. That's what I mean. Yesterday evening is when Orton began to really move into favoritism territory (I think -1100 or something along those lines) and you believe yesterday evening was smart money.

So I thought that meant you believe his price rising right now into -750 or so is speculative punts on Wyatt.

If I have that right, why do you think he is losing (Orton that is)?

BTW- thanks for the replies and I apologize for simply not getting it as evidenced by me still being befuddled LOL

    6. OH. Ignore my latest reply then, as you have responded here. Thank you.

I'm gonna still keep my Wyatt prediction though. I really do think it is the wisest move for WWE from a creative story point going forward. I think Erick Rowan is returning and will cost Orton, setting up some kind of Orton/Haper Vs. Wyatt/Rowan feud. Plus, I think they want to build Bray as a champion that will hold the strap for quite a while, especially if those rumors about Roman Reigns being drafted to SD Live are true.

    7. I made a mistake, so it's my fault for befuddling you.

I meant I didn't think Wyatt would win now after the odds moves yesterday evening.

    8. Betting odds aside, I'd much rather Wyatt win.

    9. Haha, ditto! Not an Orton fan or do you just think it is the wisest move from a creative standpoint?

    10. Creatively. Would prefer a longer title reign for Wyatt. Feud doesn't end tonight, so they should have dragged the title win to another PPV.

  4. I think you meant to comment you dont think Randy is winning this now?

  5. Fastlane was unsettled. There was a portion of that card where heels, or paper, were set up to win 5 consecutive matches. You can't do that to a live crowd anyway. WM is different. Most of these matches are settled. They might flip the booking on some matches on a lesser card if they feel like it's too predictable. But comparing WM to Fastlane is probably not a smart play. That was an outlier.

  6. Im really intrigued as to where they go from here, betting aside, with the tag titles and battle royal. Surely you have Braun and The Club winning, but the betting points elsewhere..

  7. Apparently now the SD women's championship match is no longer on the pre show, I think this boosts Carmellas chances of winning.

    1. The decision to move the match was made a day before the odds came in for Naomi.

    2. Well there goes that idea haha, just so strange why Carmellas odds dropped in the first place.
