He is currently a 5/2 second-favourite.
I requested Cena's insertion into the market because of the reports that the original WrestleMania 34 main event plan of Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns may have been brought forward to this year's SummerSlam. I was curious to see if the oddsmakers would install him as favourite.
If Lesnar versus Reigns is no longer April's main event, then there's a good chance that Reigns will take on John Cena instead. And - if so - it's very likely that the Mania storyline will focus on Cena aiming for his seventeenth major title. The title in question being the Universal strap.
With Cena being added, the traders have adjusted the prices of other runners within the market.
Big Cass, who is now a singles wrestler, has been cut from 25/1 to 20/1, Cesaro and Sheamus have both been taken off the board and eight others have drifted out.
- Seth Rollins' price has doubled from 4/1
- Jeff Hardy has moved to 25/1 from 17s
- Bray Wyatt is now 33/1 from 20/1
- Dean Ambrose went from 20/1 to 33/1
- Matt Hardy's number has increased from 25/1 to 33/1
- Bobby Roode is now 40/1 from 33/1
- Kassius Ohno has also moved to 40s from 33/1
- The Miz moved to 40/1 from 25/1
The winning selection will be the person who is holding the WWE Universal Championship after WrestleMania 34 in the early hours of Monday April 9th. When available, the market can be found under 'Universal Championship (WrestleMania 34)' on the websites that offer Kambi pricing.
