This time, however, he's odds-on.
As of the time of writing, the oddsmakers over at Paddy Power have moved Rollins to 4/7. This is the result of an afternoon of wagering on the former WWE Champion.

As you can see in the table, the current favourite opened at 7/2 on Thursday. He was backed within the first hour and twenty minutes and was moved to 15/8 while Finn Balor drifted to 3/1.
Following on from that, the website took wagers on Samoa Joe.
Joe was taken off the board, but was reinserted yesterday and had been the favourite right up to within the last hour or so.
There have been other price changes in nearly every other market on the website. All in favour of the outsiders in the respective markets. The only exception has been in the WWE Raw Women's Championship match. It still shows Alexa Bliss as an 8/15 favourite to retain her strap over Bayley (11/8).
Austin Aries has lowered from 15/2 to 10/3 today. His opponent in the submission match - Neville - moved from 1/25 to 1/7.
Noam Dar and Alicia Fox have tumbled from 5/1 into 6/4 in the mixed tag team match market. This means that Rich Swann and Sasha Banks have moved up from 1/9 into 1/2.
The Hardys have moved from 15/2 to 15/8 in the Raw Tag Team Championship market. Cesaro and Sheamus remain favourites to win inside the cage, but their odds have been improved from 1/25 to 1/3.
Another underdog whose odds have fallen is Dean Ambrose. The current WWE Intercontinental Champion is 5/2 to successfully retain his stap against The Miz. He had been 7/1 earlier today. As a result of this move, the challenger has moved up from 1/18 into 1/4.
Might want to update this again...
ReplyDeleteAmbrose and Fox/Dar are now favorites on Paddy's
Thanks, but this is why I ensure I write 'at the time of writing' etc. The odds were correct when the post was published.
DeleteRollins now 1/5 with Joe out to 9/2, Ambrose now a 3/10 favorite, Dar and Fox a 2/7 favorite...what is going on here? Moves have been coming in on Friday consistently, so last night looked like a sure thing. Maybe some changes in a meeting today?
ReplyDeleteGoing by the recent shows, most of the matches appeared to have been locked in on a Friday.
DeleteThere are far too many outsiders backed to believe changes were made at a meeting today. I would have concluded this if there were changes in one or two markets, but not this many.
That was my thought when Rollins was at 6/4 and Joe went out to 5/6, but for Seth to be backed all the way to 1/5 is pretty heavy money. Very curious to see how it shakes out on Sunday, though you may want to give Joe a go at 9/2 at this point.
DeleteI already have him backed along with Rollins.
DeleteI find it fascinating that whilst all these big changes are happening, the women's title match has hardly moved. Makes me wonder if we're in for a no-finish of sorts.
ReplyDeleteUnless it's similar to Payback..
DeletePerhaps but wasn't there constant movement with the Payback match? I don't remember odds staying this close without moving in quite some to be honest. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems very odd.
DeleteThe odds didn't move at all on the Friday. On Sunday afternoon UK time, there was a flip in favour of Alexa. Then- later in the night - there was a flip to Bayley. Then, just before the show, it landed back on Bliss.
DeleteLol such chaos. Based on the recent changes elsewhere, this should be interesting to watch unfold.
