Battleground 2017 Odds Update For July 13th (AM)

I checked in with both 5Dimes and Paddy Power this morning to see whether their WWE Battleground 2017 betting odds had changed.

Neither had.

John Cena was still a -585 favourite to defeat Rusev in the flag match. A winning bet on the heel will pay out at +385.

Over at Paddy Power, the Cena .vs. Rusev market has been stationary since it was installed:

Date/Time
John Cena
Rusev
10/7 11:50am
1/4
5/2

There have been changes in Paddy Power's market for the Punjabi prison match as Jinder Mahal's price had been cut in the early rounds of betting:

Date/Time
Jinder Mahal
Randy Orton
10/7 11:50am
1/2
6/4
11/7 10am
2/5
7/4
12/7 12am
3/10
11/5

As you can see, there hasn't been a change since the early hours of yesterday morning.

  1. I would assume Randy would win this match otherwise thats 3? Losses and the Punjabi prison match is obviously supposed to favour Jinder so Randy can 'defy all odds' and win

    1. Heels have gone 0-2 in the Punjabi prison matches. Not that this means much,

I like what they're doing with Mahal, so I'd prefer his reign continue for a while longer.

The only way I'd like Orton to win is if it ends with Corbin cashing in. Might be too soon for this, though.

  2. Who do you see dethroning mahal. I still honestly putting my money on cena given rumors that's he's holding the title until the rumble next year where he drop it to john.and if roman does face cena I sense its a passing of the torch and I just don't see it happening at mania.

    1. Please don't tell me you read that rumour on Sportskeeda.

    2. If Cena is defeating Mahal for the Smackdown title at the Rumble, how does he pass the torch to Raw's Roman Reigns?

    3. No I mean if cena vs mahal isnt the direction for the rumble and the plan is he wins the rumble instead and he chooses to face roman for the universal title. I have a feeling he's not going to win his 17th title. Its just going to be another coronation of roman.

    4. The ambulance match angle at the PPV had me thinking there was another direction change.

If SummerSlam is still Roman Reigns v Brock Lesnar in a singles, and Reigns wins, then I believe Cena should break the 'record' at Mania. Reigns could win any other match in the future, I just think that if they're going with Cena chasing the record at Mania the best ending would be to have him go over.

IF SummerSlam isn't a singles match for the Universal Championship, then I think Lesnar's streak will continue all the way to Mania and that would mean Reigns v Lesnar is the match.

I don't know where that would leave Cena. I can't picture them having Jinder as champ right through to April.

I wrote in the past that AJ Styles would have been an ideal person to unseat Mahal when the time comes. This was before the US Title win.

    5. It also stated unless the tickets and ratings are in massive decline then jinder is expected to carry the title until the rumble where he will drop the title to john. So he's gonna hold it for a while.

    6. I'd take these sorts of rumours with a pinch of salt.
