Observer Star Ratings Betting For WWE Battleground 2017

In one of the most recent posts, I mentioned that the Kambi oddsmakers had released a couple of match markets for WWE Battleground 2017. I wrote that I would get to the specials that were also published at a later point, but think it's worth acknowledging one of the markets that I have already had a bet on.

The traders have put up an over/under special where clients can bet whether Dave Meltzer rates the Punjabi Prison match over or under one star.

I've blindly backed the over.

I won't be able to dig out the copies of the Wrestling Observer where Dave Meltzer rated the previous two Punjabi prison matches until tomorrow. I have a gut feeling that they were received poorly by the editor.

Personally, I think Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal will do better than one star. They've had two PPV matches together this year. The first received two-and-three quarter stars while the most recent was given three-and-a-half.

Sure, the gimmick match might be a factor, but I strongly believe the line is too low.

  1. I just can't imagine WWE will do that poor of a job for this PPV. I Can see it getting atleast 2 stars.
