Betting On A 'To Concede Defeat' Market For No Mercy 2017

I have just placed a couple of bets on a specials market that the Kambi oddsmakers have up for tomorrow night and thought I'd share it on here so we can see how it plays out.

The market in question is the one where customers can bet on the 'Participant To Concede Defeat' in the fatal 5-way. You can view an image of it below:

As of right now, Alexa Bliss is the favourite to win. Going in to this week - before odds were published for this particular match - I expected her to be the favourite and to win the match. With that said, I cannot discount the fact that Emma's odds have taken a hit since the markets were released.

After looking through the markets - and with my mind focused on Alexa or Emma winning - I have opted to bet on Bayley (2/1) and Sasha Banks (3/1) in this market.

Here's why.

You can immediately rule out Nia Jax being the fall gal. This leaves Alexa, Sasha, Bayley and Emma. In my opinion, it seems too obvious that Emma has been inserted in the match to take the fall (she's 1/2 favourite). The last sentence could come back to haunt me, but I think it makes more sense for the either of the heels to get a sneaky win by pinning one of the babyfaces.

We'll find out how this plays out tomorrow night.

    1. I think that's a bad gamble because you're taking out one of two potential winners.

If you think Emma is pinning Alexa, then the ideal bet would be to back Emma to win in the match market rather than backing Alexa to take the fall in this market.

    2. If Emma is winning she will do it in a way where, Alexa had someone down for the pin and Emma throws her out of ring and gets the pin instead. This sets up the Emma Vs Alexa rivalry .

    3. That's the problem I have because it doesn't make sense for Emma to feud with Alexa because they've already teased Alexa vs Nia and then there's Asuka on the horizon.

I was talking with a friend this morning about the odds and he thinks it could be Emma as it could set up Paige coming in to take exception to the Women's Revolution thing that Emma has been on about.

    4. Yeah I can see that happening actually. They need to insert Paige somehow - her coming back the night after Emma wins to throw a spanner in the works seems good.

Although the same could be said for Alexa. She can go down the route of saying there's no longer any competition for her after beating the top 4 women on Raw to which Paige comes back etc.... Hmm... Wonder how the odds will go tomorrow.
