Kambi's Observer Star Ratings Specials For Clash Of Champions

In the most recent post, I mentioned that the Kambi oddsmakers had released match markets for tomorrow night's WWE Clash of Champions 2017 show. They have now added Wrestling Observer Newsletter star ratings markets that have become a regular thing in 2017.

For those of you new to this, the markets are all about Dave Meltzer's match ratings that will appear in the upcoming issue of his newsletter (due to be published in the early hours of Thursday morning).

There are three kinds of markets available - one where clients can have a bet on any match on the night being given five stars or more, another where punters can guess which match receives the most stars in Meltzer's review of Clash of Champions and finally there are over/under markets for every match confirmed for the show. It's up to the customer to predict whether the reviewer will rate the bout over, under or exactly on the line that the oddsmaker has predicted.

Any Match To Receive 5 Stars Or More
The special where clients can place bets on a match receiving one of Meltzer's famous five stars (or more!) will pay out at odds of 15/1.

Highest Rated Match On The Card
This market opened as follows:

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship 6/5
Orton/Nakamura .vs. Owens/Zayn 27/20
WWE Championship 4/1
WWE Smackdown Women's Championship 4/1
WWE US Championship 4/1
Any Other 15/1

Over/Under Specials
Here are the lines that have been applied to the matches in the over/under specials for tomorrow night.

Mojo Rawley .vs. Zack Ryder - 2 Stars
Breezango .vs. Bludgeon Brothers - 1.75 Stars
Orton and Nakamura .vs. Owens and Zayn - 3.5 Stars
WWE Smackdown Tag Titles - 3.5 Stars
WWE Smackdown Women's Championship - 2.75 Stars
WWE US Championship - 3 Stars
WWE Championship - 3 Stars

I have placed a bet on the WWE Championship to receive more than three stars. The reason why is because I liked the match AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal had in Manchester a few weeks ago and I believe 2/1 on 'Over 3' is a nice price.

1 comment:

  1. Mahal's best PPV match was against Randy Orton at MITB 2017. It was rated as 3.5

I thought that match with Styles in Manchester was Mahal's best match till now. So, yeah I think it will be atleast 3.5 or even more if they book the match properly

Also, don't you think US title match ratings are low too. I think that could be a show stealer. I heard the house show matches in Mexican tour with these 3 involved have been great
