I have just had another look through the 5Dimes Sportsbook's WWE Royal Rumble markets to see if there have been any changes made since the most recent visit at lunchtime. Here's what I've found.
Roman Reigns' odds to win the 30-man battle royal are now at +300. The most recent number I have is +400.
This has obviously helped anyone who believes Shinsuke Nakamura is winning tonight as you can now find him at -155. The last time I checked in, he was -265.
Anyone wanting to fade Nakamura can find 'The Field' at +115. It has fallen from +185.
In the ladies' market, it appears - to me - that the punters have taken 'The Field' against Asuka as it has fallen from +165 into +100. As a result, a win for Asuka will now pay out at -140 when you could have found her at a shorter -215.
Ronda Rousey, who had fallen to +100 from +180 this morning, has now moved up to +120.
The team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin appear to have been backed by customers as they have moved in from -120 into -190 in the market for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship. A win for the titleholders, The Usos, will pay out at +150. They had previously bee -110.
Another pair of tag team challengers have moved in with Cesaro and Sheamus dropping from -125 into -185 in the market for the Raw Tag Team Championship. A victory for Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan, which was previously -115, is now +145.
WWE Champion, AJ Styles, was -290 this morning. He is now down to -380. As a result, his opponents in the handicap match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are up from +210 to +260.
Brock Lesnar is now a -1,500 favourite to successfully retain the WWE Universal Championship in the triple threat match. When I checked in this morning, he had been backed into -750.
You can now find Braun Strowman at +950 (from +475) and Kane at +2,500 (from +1,300).
Prices correct as of 4PM GMT. Odds from 5Dimes.
What are the odds for Bryan and ziggler
ReplyDeleteBryan +600
DeleteZiggler +650
Except for Brock, smart money hasn't come right
ReplyDeleteI still don't think nakamura is winning the Rumble
You don't know if it's smart money until the moves are in line with the actual result.
DeletePersonally (just because I think it would be insane to see) I'd like to see Kane win the title as a, perhaps, lifetime award. Since he is running to be a mayor soon he could come out on raw on Monday night and Lesnar could ask for his rematch straight away.
DeleteThen it happens and Lesnar destroys Kane and takes the title back but then goes on to absolutely wreck havok (to make him look strong again) and cause kane to be "injured" so he can have the time off etc.
They haven't kept the belt on Lesnar for nearly a year to do that.
DeleteOh yeah, don't get me wrong it would be a bad booking decision for Lesnar, but it would be crazy to see for sure.
DeleteIt seems like the line moves have been much more significant at 5D than at the European books. I got used to the European books moving sooner and significantly. However, keep in mind that I've moved lines before at 5D with $50 plays. I've put in plays of $30 or less for this one and they didn't move anything.
ReplyDeleteThe odds on Shinsuke and Asuka are so appealing right now, but I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. I feel like I'd rather roll the dice on dogs like Ziggler, Balor, Rousey, and Banks...anyone else feel the same. Of course last year I faded Orton just in case they changed their minds and that didn't work. I expect both champs to retain. I think one set of tag belts will change hands (The Bar), yet both challengers are now moving into favorites approaching -200. Makes me kinda like the Usos as dogs. Or since I'm on the Bar, wait and see what happens in whichever tag match is first and then act accordingly. Dave, what's your thinking this morning? Hearing anything newsworthy?
ReplyDeleteI'd like Rollins/Jordan to keep the titles for a little longer because I have been enjoying Jordan lately.
DeleteI still think Nakamura isn't winning and have given up hope on Rousey being involved.
Agreed on Rollins/Jordan, I guess I'm buying into the Jordan heel turn to set up a WM match starting tonight.
DeleteI don't think Nakamura is winning either. I also can't buy Bryan or Reigns, so I went with you on Ziggler and Balor.
And man, if you could figure out who is going to win the women's rumble if it is not Asuka, Rousey, or Steph, you could score a nice win on Becky, Sasha, or Nia... That said, WWE did a great job hiding Styles when he debuted, so who knows with Rousey. She's probably too mainstream though and something would have leaked by now.
The TMZ video with Rousey where she was telling them she's off to Colombia did it for me.
DeleteFirstly, I believe the TMZ interviews like that are kind of setup in they know where the people are going to be and they always seem to be okay to talk. I think its purpose was to lower expectations and get word out that she isn't going to be there. Of course, there are some who read it the other way and believe it was done to make the thing a shock.
I've backed Becky Lynch.
Backed Becky & Roman earlier in the week, still thinking that way atm.
