'Under 5.5 Stars' Falls Once More In Okada/Naito Star Rating Special For Wrestle Kingdom 12

The Kambi oddsmakers have cut the price for the Wrestle Kingdom 12 main event to receive less than five-and-a-half stars in Dave Meltzer's review of New Japan's major event when it's covered in an upcoming issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

An over/under star rating market for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship clash between Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito has been available for almost a fortnight. When it first went live, the line was set at six stars, but was lowered to the aforementioned five-and-a-half stars on December 28th.

  1. I wonder if there's any chance of any of the other matches being priced up. Would like to see match odds (as well as star ratings) on Cody/Ibushi, Suzuki/Goto, etc

    1. It would be interesting to see the star ratings lines for other bouts on the card just to for curiosity.

I don't want to say too much about matches just in case they do put odds up, but both those matches you mentioned are intriguing. I think one could go either way... That's all I'm saying.

    2. In hindsight, it's quite obvious which of the two I think could go either way!

    3. For the record - Goto was the wrestler I was sure would win (due to the hair stip). I thought Cody/Ibushi could go either way because Cody was no longer ROH Champ.

  2. I like the thought of Y2J winning and dropping it back at Longbeach. But if I was going to play devils here I would say that from the interviews Ive heard Y2J didnt ask or need Vince's blessing but he did say that he woudnt have done anything against WWE on American soil. So I would think that he wouldnt be on the Long beach card. Doesnt mean he wont win, id love him to win and parade the belt but I dont think he would anger McMahon by boosting NJPW American market and doing it on American soil.

  3. I love how when I place bets on matches on the Kambi sites the odds immediately dip afterwards. I swear they're watching my account
