This market is offering the challenger - Asuka - at 1/8 while the champ, Charlotte Flair, is a 4/1 outsider.
Ahead of last night's publication, customers could have bet on a market that would pay out on whoever leaves the event as champion. To clear up any confusion out there, the market published last night is not the same. The latest is for 'Match Winner' while the other was for 'Title Holder At The End Of The Listed Event'. This is why Ms. Money in the Bank,Carmella, appeared in the 'Title Holder' special, but isn't an option in the most recent market.
I wrote in a post published last night that I have a feeling Carmella will cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase following Asuka .vs. Flair. I believe Asuka's win will come by disqualification or count-out (more the former than the latter) and Carmella's cash-in will be against Flair. This would keep Asuka on the Raw brand and have people clamouring for a return match against Flair in the future.
It would also establish Carmella as the new titleholder and set up a post-Mania program against Flair.
For those interested, Sky Bet has 11/10 that Carmella cashes in to win the Smackdown Women's Championship a week on Sunday.
If Carmella doesn't cash-in and Asuka becomes WWE Smackdown Women's Champion at WrestleMania, I'll revert back to my theory that the cash-in will be done against the Raw Women's Champion as I remain firm with the belief the first women's cash-in has to be a success. I cannot see how this would happen if Asuka is holding the strap.
