Customers can now bet on the following kinds of specials.
Brand Of Winner
Customers can have a bet on the brand which employs the eventual winner. Raw is 11/20, Smackdown is 3/4 and 'Free Agent/Any Other' is 15/2.
Matchups
There are specials where customers can have a bet on how certain wrestlers perform over another wrestler the oddsmaker has paired them up with. The winning selection is the wrestler that lasts in the match the longest. The following match-ups have been created:
Braun Strowman (13/20) .vs. Daniel Bryan (11/10)
Andrade 'Cien' Almas (9/10) .vs. Drew McIntyre (4/5)
Baron Corbin (17/20) .vs. Bobby Lashley (17/20)
Big Cass (7/10) .vs. Randy Orton (EVS)
Chris Jericho (4/5) .vs. Rey Mysterio (9/10)
Dolph Ziggler (7/10) .vs. Elias (EVS)
Kevin Owens (4/5) .vs. Sami Zayn (9/10)
Kurt Angle (4/5) .vs. Shane McMahon (9/10)
There's also a three-way with The New Day members:
Big E 9/10
Kofi Kingston EVS
Xavier Woods 9/4
Last Eliminated Participant
This market will pay out to bettors who'd like to gamble on who they believe will be the last person thrown out of the battle royal. As of the time of writing, Braun Strowman and Daniel Bryan are 3/1 joint-favourites.
Participant To Make Most Eliminations
Braun Strowman is a 4/6 favourite to eliminate the most wrestlers from the match. Next up are Big Cass and Bobby Lashley as joint-second faves with odds of 9/4.
Entry Number Of Match Winner
Just like with regular Royal Rumble wagering, the bookies have put up odds where clients can have a punt on the number the eventual winner draws. There are six ranges to choose from.
If I were to bet, I'd look at either the '41-46' or '47-50' options. It's unsurprising to see the latter two selections short. The last time WWE had a Rumble with more than thirty participants, Alberto Del Rio won in 2011 after drawing number 38. I could see them doing something similar with this version of the Rumble.
Entry Number Of Winner (Odd/Even)
You can place bets on the eventual winner drawing an even or odd number. As of the time of writing, they have 'Odd' at 9/10 and 'Even' at 4/5.
Last Official Participant To Enter The Match
Customers can place wagers on the last entrant. Daniel Bryan and Rey Mysertio are 2/1 joint-favourites. They're followed by Chris Jericho (5/1), Great Khali (5/1). Braun Strowman (7/1), The Undertaker (7/1) all the way down to Donald Trump (100/1).
There have been a number of adjustments made to the other markets that are available for the show.

Seth Rollins' odds to still be Intercontinental Champion at the close of the show have dropped from 1/2 into 2/5. As mentioned in Friday's post, I urge caution with betting on this just in case Bobby Lashley winds up being added to the match. The rules of this market do not work in your favour if a foreign advert plugging the bout as a five-way turns out to be accurate and Lashley wins the match.
The Undertaker has fallen to 2/13 from 1/5 in casket match betting. Rusev has moved up to 7/2 from 3/1.
You can see in the table below that Jinder Mahal's price to get a decision over new US Champion - Jeff Hardy - has declined.

The WWE Champion is now 11/20 from 1/2.
Looks like Lesnar is going to win the match again by the looks of these odds. Reigns was 1/7 when the steel cage title match odds were released and now he is a very slight favourite. Looks like WrestleMania betting all over again.
ReplyDeleteCan't see either Reigns or Nakamura losing on big shows in succession...
DeleteI have gone in with a big wager on Lesnar winning. With the way they've made Reigns out to be a loser on television with Joe slaughtering him on the mic weekly, I'm anticipating that Vince has given up on Reigns as the top star and has decided to stick with Lesnar as his champion going forward. I also believe Vince wants Lesnar to break CM Punk's modern record of a 434-day reign.
ReplyDeleteThe modern record would apply to the WWE Championship and not the Universal, no?
DeleteI don't think they would get hung up on technicalities like that to remove Punk from their history books. It is a world title.
DeleteCalling it a 'modern record' is a technicality in itself, though.
DeletePlus, the company is going to be pushing Bruno's record anyway.
