Kambi's Observer Star Ratings Markets For Mania 34 Published

Kambi's oddsmakers have added a plethora of Wrestling Observer Newsletter star ratings betting markets to their coverage of this weekend's WrestleMania.

Ahead of this morning's release, customers could only bet on one of these special betting markets which are all about the newsletter editor, Dave Meltzer, and his famous match ratings system. Punters get to guess/bet on Meltzer's reaction to the matches on the card.

The market that had been available ahead of today was one where customers could predict whether Meltzer rates the WWE Championship match - which will be contested between champion, AJ Styles, and Shinsuke Nakamura - above, below or exactly on the score of 4.75 stars.

I've followed the odds on this market since day one. Here's how the market looked as of this morning.

As you can see, the customers have been punting on the match to receive less than four-and-three-quarter stars when Meltzer's review of the match is published next week.

The oddsmakers have priced up over/under lines for the other matches apart from the battle royals. The lines are:

Cruiserweight Championship - 3.75 Stars
Bryan and McMahon .vs. Owens and Zayn - 3.5 Stars
Intercontinental Championship - 4 Stars
Cena .vs. Undertaker - 3 Stars
Angle and Rousey .vs. HHH and McMahon - 2.5 Stars
Raw Tag Team Championship - 2.5 Stars
Raw Women's Championship - 2 Stars
Smackdown Tag Team Championship - 3.5 Stars
Smackdown Women's Championship - 3.75 Stars
US Championship - 3 Stars
Universal Championship - 4 Stars

The traders have also published another regular market that is drawn up on PPV weekends where clients can bet on the match that they believe will receive the most stars in the review. The prices, as of the time of writing, are:

It should come as no surprise - with the O/U line being predicted at 4.75 Stars - that the traders have Styles .vs. Nakamura as the 1/3 (-300 US) favourite in this market.

And there's more.

For the first time, two new Observer specials have been priced up.

The first is one where customers can have a bet on the 'Exact Star Rating Of The Highest Rated Match On The Card'.

There are five options available. They've placed '5.0 Stars or more' and 'Exactly 4.75 Stars' as 6/4 joint-favourites. Once again, due to high expectations that Styles versus Nakamura will be a show stealer.

The other special are a trio of head-to-heads where clients can have a bet on which match, out of two, receives the most stars in Meltzer's WrestleMania review.

The following matches have been paired off with one another:

WWE Intercontinental Championship or the WWE Universal Championship

WWE Cruiserweight Championship or the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship

Bryan and McMahon .vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn or the Smackdown Tag Team Championship

There is a third option in the head-to-heads which will cover the possibility that BOTH matches receive the same amount of stars.

A conspicuous absence this month, and it's understandable, is a special where customers could have a bet on any matches on the card being awarded five or more stars. It would have been far too short with Styles versus Nakamura being factored in.

All of these markets will be settled when the next issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is published in the latter part of next week.
