Bookie .vs. Punter: SummerSlam 2018 Results

The first Bookie .vs. Punter turned out to be quite a close contest with the Bookie winning by two points.

For those of you who may have missed it, a friend of mine who works in the betting industry and I occasionally get together to compare and contrast our wrestling betting picks. He came up with an idea for SummerSlam where we would rank our picks of the thirteen matches on last night's card in order with the selection we thought had the strongest chance of winning given thirteen points and the one we were the least confident in being successful one point.

I shared this idea with another friend (who doesn't work in the betting industry!) and he came up with some cool ideas. I thought it was only fair if he took on the Bookie and so Bookie .vs. Punter became what it is.

I managed to get both of their picks in ahead of the weekend and published THIS POST on Friday with the two players' selections and reasoning behind the placement of their picks.

Here are the results.

Bookie .vs. Punter - SummerSlam 2018

It was very close, if I say so myself. Both players correctly backed the right winners in their top seven picks. Then, it started to go awry for the Punter as he stumbled on his final few picks following a tie in losing with their six-point plays.

The final result, as you can see in the table, is 80 points for the Bookie and 78 for the Punter.

Thanks once again to both for taking part.
