New SummerSlam Match Markets From Sky Bet

Sky Bet has added more betting markets to the company's SummerSlam 2018 coverage.

The New Day - who last night won a tournament to become The Bludgeon Brothers' challengers for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship - were installed as 7/4 outsiders with the titleholders at 2/5.

However, the early bettors have landed on the challengers as they've been cut into 5/4 while Harper and Rowan have moved to 4/7.

Baron Corbin .vs. Finn Balor opened with both selections at 5/6, but Balor has since been backed into 8/11 with Corbin moving to EVS.

On yesterday's Smackdown, an eagerly-awaited match was confirmed when The Miz versus Daniel Bryan was set up for August 19th.

The market opened with The Miz at 4/6 while Bryan was 11/10. Sky Bet told me the odds were priced in this fashion because they felt Bryan should chase the victory in the feud. Therefore, they felt the heel should win match number one. The early punters appear to be in agreement with this assessment as Miz has now moved to 8/13. A winning wager on Bryan will now pay out at 6/5.

  1. Miz @ 4/6. Heel should always win the first match of the series to give them bragging rights. More money in a Daniel Bryan chase as well. Miz wins by cheating imo.

I have no idea on Balor/Corbin. Balor needs a win but I wouldn't be shocked if the burial of Finn was to be completed at SummerSlam. I'm leaving this one alone.

And as I mentioned earlier I have backed The New Day as the Bludgeon's have done all they can as Champions and the title reign is now becoming repetitive.

    Anything you fancy David?

    1. I haven't bet on any of these. I think they're spot on. Miz should win the first one whether it's the first match in a series or if Bryan is leaving (I don't think he will, but if he is, he should lose obviously).

  2. Normally i would say easy win for Bludgeon Brothers, but maybe they want New Day as Champions with most Title wins very fast.

    1. Same. Only thing about New Day winning is we get matches we've seen before.
