Rousey Now -380 To Win At SummerSlam

Following last night's WWE Raw main event, Ronda Rousey is a -380 favourite to defeat WWE Raw Women's Champion - Alexa Bliss - at SummerSlam 2018.

When I last checked in with the 5Dimes Sportsbook's betting markets for the August 19th PPV, Rousey was favoured to win the match at a price of -315.

As a result of Rousey's price moving in, Bliss has moved out from +235 to +260.

What is important to note is the fact that, following Rousey's victory over Alicia Fox, the SummerSlam challenger promised to take Bliss' title. With Rousey a top-tier babyface, making a vow like this often always results in a delivery.

Here's how the betting has gone in the periods where I've visited the sportsbook since the market was initially priced up late last week.

Date/Time
Alexa Bliss
Ronda Rousey
5/8 12:45PM

6/8 12:45PM

7/8 8:00AM

This was the only market to have been adjusted since last night's update. You can read all about the other prices in THIS POST.

  1. After going back and forth I have decided to take the 2/5 on offer for a Ronda Rousey win on skybet.

I think WWE would be very foolish to book Bliss to beat Rousey even by DQ. Only thing it achieves in the long run is Bliss bragging that she's the first person to beat Ronda Rousey in the WWE and that just takes away the wow factor when Ronda actually does lose a one on one match clean.

Rousey has already had 1 screwy finish in a Championship match as well as a suspension storyline in her short WWE career another screwy finish here then you have to question WWE's logic in the writing department.

If WWE want Bliss to retain then they should book Ronda to win by DQ that way you don't damage Ronda's stock.

Time WWE gave Ronda some momentum imo no more suspension storylines and no more screwy finishes to her championship matches.
