Mixed Match Challenge II Market Installed

Sky Bet has installed an outright winner market for the new season of WWE's Mixed Match Challenge.

WWE revealed the names of all the teams in a press release and on Smackdown last night. The prices, as of 11AM BST today, are:

Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss 5/2
AJ Styles and Charlotte Flair 4/1
The Miz and Asuka 4/1*
Kevin Owens and Natalya 5/1
Finn Balor and Bayley 6/1
Bobby Lashley and Sasha Banks 7/1
Rusev and Lana 7/1
Jimmy Uso and Naomi 9/1
R-Truth and Carmella 9/1
Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox 12/1

I put an asterisk next to The Miz and Asuka because there is a price boost available where you can back the team at 6/1.

Miz and Asuka were the winners of the debut season, so I don't hold out much hope for the team to repeat.

I like Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss paired off together again. Seeing R-Truth and Carmella as a team was also funny to see.

Last season, I was instantly on Asuka and Miz because of the former's undefeated streak. This one is a slightly harder call.

Unlike season one's elimination tournament, this version consists of a round robin tournament with the final taking place at the Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV at the end of the year.  This allows for teams to appear regularly during the fourteen-week run.

  1. I have backed 2 teams if either team wins I will double my stake over the 2 bets

Braun & Alexa, AJ & Charlotte
1 Heel team, 1 Face team
1 Raw team, 1 SDLive team

Don't think anyone else has a chance tbh.

    1. Neither of those teams for me.

With the final taking place at TLC, I'm compelled to look beyond those names as they're likely to be in key programs on that show.

    2. More importantly, I want to see which charity is being sponsored by which team (if they're doing it for charity).

  2. IMO. Alexa will not be on the TLC card unless it's the mixed match challenge finals.

Alexa won't be getting another RAW Women's title match after HIAC and I doubt WWE will have 3 Women's matches on the main TLC card (Raw Women's title, SD Women's title & a match with Alexa).

I think Charlotte drops the title to Becky at Evolution in the main event and that will free her up for TLC before winning the Royal Rumble.

But the finals taking place at TLC do worry me a tad.

    1. Okay, so the other week you were going on about Styles breaking Punk's record. If you believe this to be the case, it makes no sense for you to have Styles in the finals of this as he would have to still be the champion in December.

  3. Even know i'm more than likely wrong. 99.9% chance lol.

AJ v Joe screwy finish at HIAC. Maybe a Double Count out.

AJ beats Joe clean at SSD & Miz beat Bryan at SSD

AJ vs Universal Champ at SS so Miz can't get his title match.

AJ in the finals of MMC that way Miz can't have his Championship match until Rumble and that's when AJ breaks Punk's record and drops the title to Miz.

    1. A near four month wait for a title shot? Not happening!

    2. 99.9% chance it doesn't happen.

WWE said a Championship match at a later date after Show Down which could mean the winner has to wait a while. Miz can run around claiming AJ is a coward for avoiding him I don't know tbh.

WWE's booking has been a bit baffling as of late so I have no idea what is going to happen now lol.

  4. I backed AJ & Charlotte as I don't see them eating many pins tbh. Same goes for Braun & Alexa. New Round Robin format this year so I expect to see at least one of these teams in the final and win.
