Crown Jewel Main Event Betting

Kambi has published a market where customers can place bets on what they believe will be the main event of tomorrow's WWE Crown Jewel PPV.

As of the time of writing, the bookies have the WWE Universal Championship match and the World Cup final as joint-favourites with prices of 21/20. Next up is the D-Generation X versus Brothers of Destruction match at 7/4. A fourth, and final, option covers all of the other bouts on the card at 10/1.

I intend to place a bet on the tag match as soon as I've finished writing this post.

There are numerous reasons why I've opted to back the match going last. The first is because we've just seen Triple H and The Undertaker main event Super Show-Down. That match was a setup for this one, so - in the company's eyes - it should be bigger than the main event of Super Show-Down.

I'm going with the idea of The Miz winning the World Cup final. If - and it's still an if at this point - he does go over, it would be a heel closing out a show.

And then there's the Braun Strowman versus Brock Lesnar match.

On paper, this should be the main event. However, I expect this one to be short and limited especially with Lesnar potentially returning to the UFC. Had Roman Reigns been included in the match, I would have given it more thought because Lesnar could have sat out parts of it. It's a totally different thing with two in the match rather than three.

    1. I know we're talking about a different time and circumstances, but HBK's last return - after being out for four years - wasn't the last match at SummerSlam 2002.

    2. True. What's your thoughts on Hulk Hogan returning to host Crown Jewel?
