More Survivor Series Markets From Sky Bet

Sky Bet added two new WWE Survivor Series match markets to its website yesterday.

The latest markets are for the bouts that were announced during the WWE Crown Jewel broadcast on Friday evening: Seth Rollins versus Shinsuke Nakamura and Brock Lesnar versus AJ Styles.

When I caught the prices yesterday evening, Rollins was 1/3 and Nakamura was 9/4. As of this morning, Nakamura's price has been snipped into 2/1 while his opponent has increased to 4/11.

I haven't placed a wager on this match. However, I would have gone where the punters have evidently sided and backed the US Champion getting a win over Intercontinental Champion, Rollins.

Raw is sure to win the meeting of the ladies world champions, so Smackdown winning the IC .vs. US Title match makes sense to me.

Speaking of which, Ronda Rousey is still a 1/3 fave to beat Becky Lynch (9/4) in their match.

As for the Universal Champion versus WWE Champion market - the punters have sided with Brock Lesnar once again getting a W against AJ Styles in a Survivor Series match following last year's event.

The Beast was lowered from 4/6 into 4/7 between the time I found the odds last night and when I began to write this post. As a result, Styles has moved to 5/4 from 11/10.

This is another market I haven't bet on. And there's a couple of reasons why. First, after seeing Shane McMahon's reaction after winning the World Cup tournament at WWE Crown Jewel on Friday, I couldn't shake off the feeling that, in storyline, Shane's ego will get the better of him and he'll replace AJ Styles and take on Brock Lesnar instead of Smackdown's champion.

Don't forget, there was talk of a Brock Lesnar .vs. Shane McMahon match for WrestleMania 33 before WWE signed Goldberg to wrestle Lesnar.

Another scenario I have thought of is for Braun Strowman to come out and either cause a no contest or have AJ Styles win somehow (Lesnar would have to 'lose', but not lose if that makes sense).

If this match is the decider in the Raw .vs. Smackdown match-up at the PPV, I could easily see Strowman doing something to ruin Baron Corbin's night after Corbin struck Strowman in the back of the head before the Universal Championship match at Crown Jewel.

The show is set to take place in two weeks.

  1. I can see Brock vs AJ this time as main event since it didn't main event last year. Also traditional 5 vs 5 match this time won't have big stars like last year

Smackdown should win this time. In both 2016 and 2017, Raw won more matches than Smackdown

    1. Yep, whatever happens, I think this will be the main event as it should be the match to decide the winning brand.

    2. Agreed. But how many matches do you think will happen. Last year they had 7.

    3. No idea, especially with the Raw Tag Team Championship in the state it is in.

    4. Yeah, I think AOP or Drew and Dolph will win tag team titles again. But since Bar is a heel tag team, I think AOP winning makes more sense.
