G1 Climax 29 Betting: Block, Outright And Final Betting Update For July 31st

Kambi's oddsmakers republished their NJPW G1 Climax 29 markets this afternoon, so I thought I'd publish an update to point out how they've been adjusted.

A Block Winner
The market in which customers can place wagers on who they believe will be the winner of A Block was republished after last being seen ahead of yesterday's round of A Block matches.

The event saw part of the field eliminated due to it being mathematically impossible for them to qualify for the final. As a result, they've been taken off the board.

The two wrestlers whose prices have shortened are Kota Ibushi and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Both won yesterday and have moved to eight points, which is two wins away from the current leader - Kazuchika Okada.

G1 Climax 29 Betting: A Block Winner

In regards to Okada - he remains the favourite to win. However, his price has moved up slightly from 4/6 into 3/4.

If Okada is going to come up short at all in the tournament, I believe it'll have to be on Saturday against SANADA.

That would allow for either Ibushi or Tanahashi to move up to ten points unless their match is a draw.

I'd have to give Ibushi the win over Tanahashi as I could see Ibushi then get two points against Zack Sabre Jr. and Okada beat EVIL a week from today as they head into the final round of A Block.

The A Block main event for August 10th would have Okada at fourteen points and Ibushi at twelve with the winner going on to the final (Ibushi would go to fourteen points as well, but he'd win A Block as he would have had the tiebreaker win over Okada).

B Block Winner
The market where clients can bet on the winner of B Block was republished a couple of days ago, but has once again been adjusted.

Current leader and betting favourite  - Jon Moxley - has moved to 7/10 from 13/25 and Juice Robinson has been moved to 6/4 from 5/4.

The favourite and second-favourite have moved out because Tetsuya Naito has been cut from 11/2 to 3/1.

G1 Climax 29 Betting: B Block Winner

It hadn't dawned on me on Sunday, but Yano's wins against Naito and Jay White might end up being important for potential tiebreakers at the end.  For those to happen, Moxley has to stumble and Naito and White would have to win right up to their match in the final match of B Block.

It looks like the gamblers are on the same wavelength as me as Yano is now down to 17/20 after starting off at 11/4.

Outright Winner
You can see, in the table below, how the top two to win the tournament outright have drifted out.

Okada has moved up from 17/20 to 11/10 as favourite and Moxley has risen to 13/10 from 5/4.

The remaining selections - other than KENTA, who has been increased from 15/2 to 15/1 - have all moved in. You can see all of the price cuts in the table below.

Standing out to me is Ibushi. Probably because he was my pick to win in the first place. He was 2/1 previously, but is now in third at 6/4.

G1 Climax 29 Betting: Outright Winner

Final Match
The market in which customers can place wagers on what they believe will be the tournament final was also republished today. Okada .vs. Moxley is still a favourite, but it has increased from EVS to 7/4.

The selections that have lowered are:

Okada .vs. Naito 19/2 to 15/4
Ibushi .vs. Naito 15/2 to 9/2
Tanahashi .vs. Moxley 17/1 to 10/1
Ibushi .vs. White 15/1 to 12/1
Tanahashi .vs. Naito 66/1 to 25/1
Tanahashi .vs. White 66/1 to 50/1

As you'll see in the table below, the matches that are now impossible have been taken down. A couple that weren't priced up before today have been installed. They are Okada .vs. Robinson and Ibushi .vs. Robinson.

I plan to return tomorrow morning either before or during the next round of matches.
