G1 Climax 29 Betting: Blocks, Final And Outright Update For August 5th

Kambi's NJPW Climax 29 markets were republished yesterday evening. Seeing as the next rounds of matches don't start until Wednesday, I thought I'd publish another post looking at them.

A Block Winner
There are now only three wrestlers left in the market in which customers can place wagers on the A Block winner. They are - tournament leader, Kazuchika Okada, Kota Ibushi and EVIL.

Of the three, Ibushi and EVIL are both showing shorter pricing than when the market was last updated. The latter has fallen from 40/1 into 19/2 while Ibushi has fallen into 17/20 from 19/20.

Okada is also at 17/20, but he has moved out from 3/4.

B Block Winner
There are now three wrestlers out of the running to win the B Block. The list has both Jay White and Tetsuya Naito as 13/10 joint-favourites. They've both moved from 6/4 joint-second due to Jon Moxley's two recent losses moving him out from 13/10 to 33/20.

The biggest fall has been for Hirooki Goto, who is now 3/1 from 50/1. This is likely because he has picked up six points out of his last three. He faces Moxley on Thursday. If Goto wins, then there could potentially be five wrestlers with ten points going into the final night of the block matches (unless there is a slip-up by any of the guys on eight points).

Final
The market in which customers can place wagers on the final now has Kota Ibushi .vs. Tetsuya Naito as a 13/5 fave. It was previously 13/4.

Ibushi .vs. White has lowered as well. It's down to 3/1 from 13/4. As of right now, Ibushi .vs. White is the match that I have a feeling will be the final. It's far too late in the tournament for me to bet on it, though.

Outright Winner
Okada and Ibushi are joint-favourites to win the G1 in the 'Tournament Winner' market. Okada has stalled at 13/10, but Ibushi has moved down from the previous price of 6/4.

He isn't alone.

Jay White, Tetsuya Naito, Hirooki Goto and EVIL have all had their prices trimmed for numerous reasons.

White is down to 7/4 from 11/4, Naito is also at 7/4 but he has dropped from 9/4, EVIL has been lowered into 40/1 from 150/1 but - just like in the B Block winner market - it's Hirooki Goto whose price has plummeted.

When last available, a Goto crowning was being offered at 200/1. It's now all the way down to 6s.

Prices were correct as of 10PM BST last night, but also at the time of writing.
