In today's look back at Kambi's G1 Climax 29 prop bets I'll cover a couple of prop markets where customers were asked to bet on a named wrestler getting more block points than another.
The first market asked the customer whether Kazuchika Okada would have more points than Jay White.
When it was first published, the 'No' was a 3/5 favourite. However, as Okada started off with a handful of wins while White suffered three opening losses, the selection began to drift out.
The 'Yes' began at 6/5 and - by the end of July - was down to 1/40.
And the adjustments turned out to be on the right side. There was only two points in it at the end, but Okada finished in second place of A Block with fourteen points while White claimed B Block with twelve.
The second market, in this category, has A Block's Kota Ibushi up against B Block's Tetsuya Naito.
Ibushi won his block with fourteen points, so he did better than Naito who only picked up ten points. Therefore, it was a win for the 'Yes' option.
As you can see, the winning selection opened at 11/10. The bookies evidently felt that Ibushi would not get more points than Naito as they had the 'No' favoured at 13/20.
When the market was last made available, the eventual winner had descended all the way down to 1/3 while its opposing option had risen to 2/1.
