Earlier today, I published a post in which I pointed out that the Kambi oddsmakers had opened Wrestling Observer star ratings markets for WWE Crown Jewel 2019. I noted what the Over/Under lines were for the matches and promised that I'd cover the other Observer markets later on.
Here are the other Observer markets that can be found on the websites hosting Kambi's odds.
Highest Rated Match
The tag team World Cup match is a 5/4 favourite to be given the most stars when Dave Meltzer's review is published a week after the event.
It's followed by the five-on-five match which will see Team Hogan and Team Flair clash.
Next up are the WWE Championship (Lesnar .vs. Velasquez) and WWE Universal Championship (Rollins.vs. Wyatt) matches. They're in joint-third at 5/2 each.
The Braun Strowman .vs. Tyson Fury match to be the highest rated bout on the card is 12/1.
Finally, there is a selection covering 'Any Unlisted Match'. This would include the Mansoor .vs. Cesaro bout as well as anything that might be added to the card.
Exact Star Rating of the Highest Rated Match
As per usual, there is a market in which clients can gamble on the number of stars the highest rated match of the night receives in Dave Meltzer's review.
'Exactly 2.75 Stars' is a 2/1 favourite. It's followed by 'Exactly 3 Stars' at 9/4, 'Exactly 3.25' and '3.5 Stars or More' are both 5/2 each, 'Exactly 2.5 Stars' is 3/1 and '2.25 Stars or Less' is 4/1.
Head-to-Heads
The oddsmakers have created two head-to-head markets. In these bets, customers can gamble on which - of two matches - will receive the most stars in the review of the event.
The first head-to-head sees Brock Lesnar .vs. Cain Velasquez for the 'WWE Championship' going up against Seth Rollins .vs. Bray Wyatt for the 'WWE Universal Championship'.
Rollins .vs. Wyatt is the favourite at 3/4. Should Lesnar and Velaquez beat their opposition, winning bets will be settled at 11/10.
The middling option, which will cover the possibility of both matches receiving the same amount of stars, is being offered at 5/2.
The second head-to-head has the five-on-five match competing against the Tag Team World Cup match
The World Cup match is a 17/20 favourite over 'Team Hogan .vs. Team Flair' at 21/20 while the option to gamble on the two bouts both getting the same number of stars is 9/4.
Prop Bets
There are three prop/specials on the board for Crown Jewel.
The first is a special that asks customers whether they believe Seth Rollins .vs. Bray Wyatt will earn minus stars when Dave Meltzer grades it.
This special exists because their last PPV outing - at WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 - was given minus two stars from the newsletter editor.
There isn't a 'No' option. It's a 7/4 for the 'Yes'.
There are 'Yes' and 'No' option for the remaining two specials, though.
The one titled 'Joint Winners' asks the customer to bet whether or not two or more of the matches on the Crown Jewel 2019 card will tie for the highest number of stars in the review. The 'No' is a 2/5 favourite over the 'Yes' at 7/4.
Finally, the proposition titled 'Main Event' asks the customers whether the final match on the card will have the most star ratings in the review. 'No' is 7/20 and 'Yes' is 19/10.
