The result was technically a betting upset considering markets both here and abroad closed with the challenger as the favourite. However, as I noted in the most recent post, late money appears to have came in on the champion as Lynch fell into favouritism for a brief period before the PPV started.
As you can see in the table below, Kambi had Lynch at 9/4 at 8:45PM BST, but then cut her price into 17/20. By the time the PPV started, the champion was at 4/6 before drifting out to her closing 7/5.
