NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2020 Main Event Wins Match Of The Night And More

The main event of this past Sunday's NXT TakeOver: In Your House was the match that received the most stars in Dave Meltzer's review of the event inside the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The bout, which saw Io Shirai become the NXT Women's Champion, by defeating Rhea Ripley and then champion - Charlotte Flair - under triple threat rules received four-and-a-quarter stars from the newsletter editor.

It started off as a 2/1 second-favourite behind Keith Lee's NXT North American Championship defence against Johnny Gargano in a market in which customers could gamble on the match they believed would receive the most stars in the review.

As you'll see below, the eventual winner was taken from the aforementioned 2/1 into 5/4 a few days before the show and was then a joint-favourite - at EVS - a day before the event.

Customers would have also found the triple threat match in a head-to-head against Finn Balor versus Damien Priest. Customers got to bet on which - of the two matches - would get the most stars.

The latter received three-and-three-quarters from Meltzer.

The winner started out as a 4/6 favourite. However, by Saturday morning, it had lowered into 7/20.

Balor versus Priest was the second-best match of the night in the review. With there being a half-a-star difference, a proposition market titled 'Margin of Victory' will be settled in favour of 'Yes'. The selection was 13/10 for the entire time it was available to customers.

Looking at how the betting went, it's safe to conclude that the consensus was on the right selection as the eventual winner started out a 19/20 favourite, and was all the way down to 2/5 by Saturday morning.

Over/Unders
Kambi published its popular Over/Under markets for nearly all of the matches on Sunday's card. The only exception was the Adam Cole versus Velveteen Dream backlot brawl, which wasn't given a rating anyway.

The results, and how the bets were settled, can be viewed in the table below.
