G1 Climax 30 Betting: Night 11

The eleventh night of G1 Climax tournament action is today with the next round of A Block matches. Before I get to the odds for today's card, there have been updates made to the B Block winner market.

B Block Winner
Following yesterday's round of matches for B Block, Kambi republished its market in which customers can gamble on who they believe will be at the top of group when all of the block's matches are completed a week on Saturday.

SANADA, EVIL, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Hirooki Goto had price reductions with SANADA moving in from 5/2 into 7/4, EVIL from 4/1 into 13/5, Tanahashi from 19/2 into 11/2 and Goto into 50s from 66/1.

I noticed that the market had changed once again when I visited the website this morning. SANADA's price had lowered from the 7/4 into 7/5.

As may have read - leading into the tournament I had SANADA as my pick to win the block. I would still like it to happen, but I think that Tanahashi might be the one to look out for now. SANADA's win over Tetsuya Naito would set him up as a title challenger. His role now could be to play spoiler to EVIL's chances of taking the block when they meet on the 17th.

Now, it's time for today's match markets.

G1 Climax 30: Night 11

Tomohiro Ishii (2-3) .vs. Yujiro Takahashi (0-5)
I initially came across the market for the first tournament match of today's card yesterday morning. Tomohiro Ishii was a 1/3 favourite over Yujiro Takahashi (2/1).

When I visited the website this morning, I noticed that Takahashi's price had lowered into 8/5 while Ishii's - while still a favourite - had moved up to 11/25.

Then, while the show was starting, I had another look and noticed that Takahashi's price was down to 13/10 while Ishii's was at 13/25.

Match Winner: Tomohiro Ishii

Kazuchika Okada (3-2) .vs. Jeff Cobb (2-3)
I first came across the market for today's second tournament match yesterday. It had Kazuchika Okada a 2/7 favourite. His opponent was 5/2.

G1 Climax 30: Okada .vs. Cobb

As you can see above, when I checked in this morning, I noticed that Okada had dropped into 1/4 while Cobb was out to 5/2.

Match Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Will Ospreay (3-2) .vs. Minoru Suzuki (3-2)
The Will Ospreay .vs. Minoru Suzuki market is another that I first came across yesterday morning. Both selections were unchanged on this morning's visit.

Ospreay was an 11/25 favourite while Suzuki was at 8/5.

Match Winner: Will Ospreay

Taichi (3-2) .vs. Jay White (3-2)
The Taichi .vs. Jay White market was initially published on September 13th. It kicked off with Jay White a 1/3 favourite. Taichi was 2/1.

As the tournament has progressed, both men have had back-and-forths in regards to price cuts, but it has mainly been on the side of Jay White, who has been the fave throughout.

It closed with White at 1/8 and Taichi at 4s.

Match Winner: Jay White

Kota Ibushi (4-1) .vs. Shingo Takagi (2-3)
The market for today's main event is another that was first installed on September 13th. It had Kota Ibushi a 2/5 favourite over Shingo Takagi (7/4).

Ibushi has been a favourite throughout. However, the latter stages of betting has gone the way of Takagi. He was up to 3/1 five days ago, but was lowered to 11/10 by yesterday morning and was at EVS when I visited at 9:30AM BST today.
