G1 Climax 30 Betting: Night 15

Today is the beginning of the final week of this year's G1 Climax tournament. It'll see the penultimate round of bouts in A Block.

Here's how the betting has gone for all of the matches on today's card.

G1 Climax 30: Night 15

Will Ospreay (5-2) .vs. Jeff Cobb (3-4)
The market for today's first G1 match was initially priced up three days ago. It started out with Will Ospreay a 2/13 favourite to pick up the two points against Jeff Cobb (7/2).

It was Ospreay all the way in regards to price moves. He was down into 1/16 yesterday morning and had slipped into 1/20 by 10:00AM BST today.

Jeff Cobb closed as a 7/1 underdog.

Match Winner: Jeff Cobb

Kota Ibushi (5-2) .vs. Yujiro Takahashi (0-7)
Kota Ibushi started off as a 1/5 favourite when Kambi published the market for his bout against Yujiro Takahashi.

By yesterday morning, Takahashi's price had lowered into 7/4 from 3/1. This forced the bookmakers to put the favourite up to 2/5. When I checked in yesterday evening, I noticed that Takahashi had lowered into 7/5 with Ibushi up to 1/2. However, on this morning's visit, I noticed that Ibushi had dropped into 1/4.

Takahashi's odds were at 5/2 when the market was closed.

Match Winner: Kota Ibushi

Shingo Takagi (3-4) .vs. Taichi (3-4)
The Shingo Takagi versus Taichi market was another that was released on Saturday. It started off with Takagi a 2/5 favourite while Taichi was 7/4.

G1 Climax 30 Betting: Takagi .vs. Taichi

As you can see above - by yesterday morning, Taichi's odds had lowered into 8/5 with Takagi moving up to 11/25.

Taichi's odds were once again lowered sometime before this morning's visit as he was 11/10 with the favourite at 13/20.

Match Winner: Taichi

Minoru Suzuki (3-4) .vs. Jay White (5-2)
Kambi's market for Minoru Suzuki .vs. Jay White was first installed on September 13th with White a 1/3 favourite over Suzuki (2/1).

From there, both wrestlers' prices fluctuated - at certain points - as the tournament started taking shape. However, White was always regarded as the betting favourite with his price plummeting over the past few days.

That was no longer the case during today's show, however.

With Will Ospreay falling to Jeff Cobb in the opener - to keep Ospreay on ten points - I surmise that either the oddsmakers adjusted the price for this market or had a wager placed on Suzuki to go over in order to keep White at ten points going into the block's final round of matches on Friday.

The market closed with Suzuki a 4/6 favourite - a drop from this morning's 11/2. A decision for White - which was 1/14 earlier today - was 27/25.

G1 Climax 30 Betting: Suzuki .vs. White

Match Winner: Jay White

Kazuchika Okada (5-2) .vs. Tomohiro Ishii (3-4)
The market for today's main event was released on September 13th with Kazuchika Okada an 11/25 favourite. His opponent - Tomohiro Ishii - was 8/5.

By yesterday morning, Okada's odds had dropped into 1/8 with Ishii up to 4/1. The selections were at those respective prices this morning, but changed during the show with Okada descending to 1/20 and Ishii raising to 7s.

Match Winner: Kazuchika Okada
