The fifth round of G1 Climax matches start up today with A Block's bouts.
Shingo Takagi (1-3) .vs. Yujiro Takahashi (0-4)
Kambi's market for today's opening tournament match has Shingo Takagi a 2/13 favourite when I came across the market for the first time on October 2nd. When I visited the market a day later, his price had moved up slightly to 1/5.
Match Winner: Shingo Takagi
Jeff Cobb (1-3) .vs. Jay White (3-1)
Jay White was a 1/4 favourite to beat Jeff Cobb (5/2) when the market for their match was published over the weekend.
By the following day, White had dipped into 1/5 while Cobb had risen to 3/1.
When I checked in yesterday morning, Cobb's price had lowered to 8/5.
Match Winner: Jeff Cobb
Kazuchika Okada (2-2) .vs. Minoru Suzuki (3-1)
The market for Kazuchika Okada .vs. Minoru Suzuki was first published on September 13th with Okada a 4/9 favourite over the 6/4 for Suzuki.
A fortnight later, the market changed with Okada into 2/5 and his opponent out to 7/4.
On Friday morning, Suzuki's price has lowered into 8/5 while Okada's price as a favourite had moved up slightly to 11/25.
Then, when I checked in on Saturday, I noticed that Okada had dropped into 7/20 while Suzuki's price had increased to 19/10.
Tomohiro Ishii (1-3) .vs. Taichi (3-1)
The Tomohiro Ishii versus Taichi market was first installed late last week with Ishii a favourite. The following day, his price had lowered into 13/20 and was then at 2/5 when I visited yesterday morning.
Taichi started off at 19/20, but ended up at 7/4 following his opponent's odds falling over those days.
Match Winner: Tomohiro Ishii
Kota Ibushi (3-1) .vs. Will Ospreay (3-1)
The market for today's main event was first put up on September 13th with Kota Ibushi a 4/6 favourite over Will Ospreay (27/25).
Ibushi was down to 11/20 a day later and then - by September 20th - had gone into 13/25. A week later, Ibushi was down to 4/9 but was then moved up to 4/5. On Saturday, he went into 3/4.
Match Winner: Kota Ibushi
