After confirming his participation in this Sunday's Royal Rumble, as well as setting his sights on once again becoming champion and being in another WrestleMania main event, Edge has become a second-favourite to win the battle royal at the majority of sportsbooks with markets for Sunday's event.
The 5Dimes Sportsbook, which had the Rated R Superstar from +800 from the day the market launched, is now offering him at +150 while the favourite, Daniel Bryan, has slightly moved up to +130 from +130.
Over here in Europe, Kambi and William Hill have placed Edge into second-place in their markets. The former cut him from 9/1 into 5/2 and Hills from 10/1 into 9/2 in the hours following the announcement.
Despite Edge moving with those firms, BetOnline still has him at the +600 he has been since moving out from +500 a day ago.
For what it's worth, I am still holding out for Daniel Bryan to win the Rumble because of the way that the commentators have frequently pointed out how he has never won a battle royal. However, last night's promo has prompted me to move Edge back into second in my ranking of potential winners.
