A Look Over Kambi's Markets For Mania 37's Triple Threat Match

Kambi's oddsmakers have created a handful of markets for the now confirmed triple threat match at WrestleMania 37.

Customers who gamble on the websites that offer the betting service's pro wrestling coverage can find the 'Match Winner' market. However, it looks a lot different to what you may be used to.

Before I get to the 'Match Winner' market, I feel it's best to write about another that came out before this weekend.

On Monday, when it became even more clear that Daniel Bryan would be added to the title match to make it a triple threat, Kambi published a market which allowed customers to gamble on the 'Titleholder(s) at the end of the listed event'.

At the time I first started following the market, Kambi listed Roman Reigns at 21/20 to leave the event with his strap. The other man confirmed for the match at that time - Edge, was 7/5 and Daniel Bryan, who was - going by the storyline at the time - on the outside looking in, was 13/5.

By Tuesday morning, the market had adjusted with Edge's price shortened to 9/10, Reigns up to 11/10 and Bryan leaping to 19/4.

As you can see below, the market was republished this morning. Now that Bryan has been confirmed for the match, his price has been lowered into 8/5. Edge is in second-place at 27/25 and the current champ - Roman Reigns - is 11/5.

WrestleMania 37 Universal Title Match

The 'Match Winner' market - which came up for the first time today - obviously lists the same pricing for Daniel Bryan, Edge and Roman Reigns to win the match. However, customers also have the opportunity to gamble on the selection not to win.

The 'No' proposition for each wrestler is as follows:

Daniel Bryan 11/25
Edge 4/6
Roman Reigns 3/10

Daniel Bryan's addition to the match has led many to believe that either he, or Edge, will end up being the fall guy in order to give Roman Reigns an out if there is a title change.

With that debate out there, it's worth looking at the 'Participant To Concede Defeat' market that has been published.

Daniel Bryan is the favourite at even money to be the person who loses the match. They have Edge in second at 23/20 while the titleholder is 17/10.

Roman Reigns is also a selection in a proposition market in which customers can punt on him 'to be involved in the match finish'. 'Yes' - which would count if he wins or is the person who loses the fall - is 17/20 while the 'No' - which would cover a conclusion involving Daniel Bryan and Edge - is also 17/20.

Another theory out there is that Daniel Bryan has been added to the match because there is a fear that the fans will be more receptive to the heel - Roman Reigns - due to how strong his character has been on TV since he turned in the late summer of 2020.

I have my own theory in that I feel that the triple threat has always been the plan.

As I wrote in previous posts, I suspect that Daniel Bryan was going to win the Royal Rumble if Edge wasn't cleared from injury in time for the event. A fully-cleared Edge would have then found his way into the WrestleMania match by taking a different route post-Rumble.

That's just speculation on my part going by what I saw on TV leading up to the Rumble and how things have panned out since.

As for Mania - I am not strongly on board with this one, because I have the WWE Championship to still be around Bobby Lashley's waist at the conclusion of night one, but I feel that Roman Reigns is also going to retain on WrestleMania weekend.

Those who like to bet on Kambi's star ratings markets can find an over/under for the new match. The line is 4.5 Stars. This is a quarter of a star higher than the line for the Roman Reigns versus Edge singles match.

An over/under market has also been published for the Kevin Owens versus Sami Zayn bout that has been added to the card. The line has been set at four stars.

Owens is currently a 2/7 favourite to beat Zayn (9/4) in a bout which could feature an appearance from Internet celebrity. Logan Paul, who will make an appearance on this coming Friday's edition of WWE Smackdown.
