Another Look At Sky Bet's Mania 37 Main Event Markets

It has been close to three days since I pointed out that Sky Bet has published markets in which customers can gamble on which matches they believe will close the two nights of this year's WrestleMania.

After writing the post, I had three bets on those markets. One of the selections I backed has shortened.

I had a free £5 bet, so thought I'd have a gamble on Bobby Lashley versus Drew McIntyre to be the main event of the entire weekend.

As you'll see below, the selection was 8/1 when I first began to keep track of the night two market. It was down to 7s when I checked in the following day. It remains at that price as of 11:00AM GMT today.

WrestleMania 37: Night 2 Main Event

With 'Bobby Lashley .vs. Drew McIntyre' moving in, the favourite to be the main event of the second evening - 'Roman Reigns .vs. Edge' has been moved up from 1/20 to 1/16.

On tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown, Daniel Bryan will meet Jey Uso in a steel cage match. If he wins, Bryan will secure a WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at FastLane.

The reason why I've mentioned this is because I have a feeling that Edge is going to play a part in Bryan not getting the title shot tonight or failing to beat Reigns at the PPV.

Guessing the outcomes of tonight's match or the FastLane title contest has made me consider the possibility of Bryan being added to the Mania title picture in some way. This could be by meeting the winner of Roman Reigns versus Edge on night two (which would mean Reigns .vs. Edge happens on night one) or just being added to Reigns .vs. Edge make it a triple threat.

The latter would be very reminiscent of WrestleMania XXX with Edge in the Batista role and Roman Reigns as the heel champ Randy Orton was in 2014.

Sky Bet's market for the main event of night one is still showing the same prices as Tuesday with the scheduled WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match - Sasha Banks .vs. Bianca Belair - a 6/5 favourite followed by a match featuring the current WWE Champion - Bobby Lashley - facing Drew McIntyre as a 6/4 second-favourite.

WrestleMania 37: Night 1 Main Event

Roman Reigns .vs. Edge is 7/1. As I mentioned above, one of the ideas I have for Mania is to have Daniel Bryan face the winner of that match on night two. If, and it's a big IF, that turns out to be the case then I really should have a small gamble on Reigns .vs. Edge closing night one even though - of the two scenarios I've made up - Bryan being brought in to make the contest a triple threat match makes me wary about taking a punt on Reigns versus Edge headlining night one.
