Betting markets for new matches that have been announced for WrestleMania 37 have been priced up by the oddsmakers from Kambi.
On last night's episode of WWE Raw, it was revealed that the winners of a tag team turmoil match, which is set for night one, will challenge Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship the following evening.
As of today, four teams have been announced. However, there has been a tease of Billie Kay teaming up with Carmella.
Naomi and Lana are Kambi's favourites. They're 5/4 and followed by Natalya and Tamina who are 7/4 second-faves.
Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose have been installed at 11/2 while The Riott Squad are 7/1.
Kambi has also included other selection in its book for the match.
As noted above - Carmella has been teased as a possible tag team partner of Billie Kay. A win for those two will pay out at odds of 9/4.
Other teams listed are 'Bayley and Charlotte Flair' at 11/2 and 'Bayley and Carmella' who are 7/1 each.
The Wrestling Observer star rating line for the match has been set at two-and-a-quarter stars.
A market for the winners' night two meeting with the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions lists the challengers as 4/9 favourites. A decision in favour of Baszler and Jax will pay out at 6/4.
Kambi has also republished markets it had for a Bad Bunny and Damian Priest versus The Miz and John Morrison now that the Bad Bunny .vs. The Miz match has become a tag team contest.
In March, with reports that the tag contest was planned for Mania, Kambi created a handful of markets for the tag match. It started with Bad Bunny and Damian Priest as 1/10 favourites over their rivals. Within a day, their price had dropped into 1/16 and remained that way right up to its premature closing.
It has now reopened with the favourites at 1/40 while Miz and Morrison are now 8/1 - up from their early price of 5/1.
The Wrestling Observer star rating market has also been republished. The line remains at 2.25. However, the two selections are now at 17/20 pick 'ems.
In a post published on March 20th, I wrote about having a bet - at odds of 7/4 - on The Miz being involved in the match finish. I felt that it would make more sense for Mizanin to do the honours for Bad Bunny than John Morrison because of the attention Bad Bunny's win might get in the press. I theorised that - with Miz being more popular than Morrison through his reality TV work - it would look better for Bad Bunny to win the match with Miz as the fall guy.
The market has adjusted to 'The Miz' as the favourite over this tag team partner before it was closed. It has now reopened with the favourite at 1/4.
