Now that WWE is advertising a full line-up of contenders for the men's Money in the Bank ladder match, the oddsmakers from BetOnline have created a market.
Drew McIntyre has been priced up as BetOnline's favourite. He's currently +175 and is followed by Seth Rollins (+250), Big E (+500), Riddle (+500), Kevin Owens (+600), Shinsuke Nakamura (+1,200), Ricochet (+1,600) and John Morrison (+2,000).
Comparing the order with the market that's available from Paddy Power, you'll notice there are some noticeable differences. The main one being that Paddy Power's oddsmakers have Big E as the betting favourite. Then it's Riddle, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura and Ricochet.
John Morrison is not available from Paddy Power as of the time of writing.
If I were to create my own list, I would have Seth Rollins as the favourite followed by Big E and would even consider placing Jinder Mahal in the running despite not being an official participant as of right now.
Back to Rollins for now.
There have been reports that Rollins will take on Edge at SummerSlam next month. Both men were in a segment last night which teased Rollins winning the Money in the Bank briefcase and then cashing in during the Universal Championship match later in the night.
As I've mentioned in a previous post, I have gambled on Edge getting a win against Roman Reigns in the title match at Money in the Bank. I reasoned that Rollins could interfere in some way to cause Edge getting the win, but not the championship.
What I didn't expand on before now, because I wanted to see if Rollins was a runner for the Money in the Bank match, is that I theorised that Rollins could either cash in during Reigns .vs. Edge and lose the fall to Reigns causing Edge to have a gripe against Rollins to lead to set up their SummerSlam meeting.
Rollins could also simply tease a cash-in which could lead to Reigns getting the win... or Edge somehow winning by DQ if Rollins attacks Edge. The latter being one of the reasons why I chose to bet on Edge to 'beat' Roman Reigns when Sky Bet was offering 8/1 for him to do so.
BetOnline's market for the Universal Championship match has recently been adjusted with Edge's price moved in from +450 to +450 with Roman Reigns moving up from -850 to -700 favourite.
There are two more episodes of WWE TV ahead of next weekend's PPV, so I could obviously change my mind, but - for now, Rollins is my pick to be this year's Mr. Money in the Bank.
