In a follow-up to yesterday's post concerning Kambi's voiding some of its markets following Bobby Lashley's participation in the Elimination Chamber match from Saturday evening, I emailed Kambi, by way of Unibet, concerning the matter and still have not received a response.
When I published the post, I also mentioned that Sky Bet hadn't settled a 'First Elimination' bet I had placed on Lashley. It has been graded as a loss.
I obviously lost, but I am glad that the fact it was settled strengthens my opinion that Bobby Lashley was part of the match even if his involvement was limited.
I felt there was a chance that my wager on Lashley would have resulted in a loss because of how the news of Lashley's for want of a better word - elimination - from the bout occurred.
Michael Cole's announcement that Lashley was out was about to be revealed BEFORE Seth Rollins was eliminated. The wording of the WWE.com match report - which I thought was bookmakers go to for controversial rulings - would actually side with my argument because it details how Lashley was out before Rollins and Riddle were dispatched. However, Michael Cole's commentary on the night would make a case for Seth Rollins being first followed by Lashley.
As I said in the Twitter exchange above, I expected a bad beat. I would have rather been in position to have won or lost the bet - in this situation - because, and as I stated yesterday: the match started with Bobby Lashley as a match participant so there was absolutely no reason for 'First Elimination' and other markets for that match to be graded as void by Kambi.
Kambi may have felt it was fair, but it contradicts their other rule about matches being determined from bell-to-bell. With Lashley in the mix at the time the bell was rung, whatever happened inside the contest was fair game.
In my opinion, of course.
