Earning three-and-a-half stars, the WWE Championship match - which saw Brock Lesnar regain the WWE Championship - was the highest rated match in Dave Meltzer's review of the 2022 edition of WWE's Elimination Chamber.
The contest, which took place inside the Elimination Chamber, was expected to be the match which received the most stars in the review before the wrestlers stepped foot in Saudi Arabia.
Kambi, the betting firm which specialises in Wrestling Observer Newsletter star rating betting markets, had set a line of three-and-three-quarters in the Over/Under market that was available for the contest. It was the highest line for all of the matches on last Saturday's card.
The men's Elimination Chamber match appeared as one of two selections in Kambi's market which asked which match would receive the most stars in the review. It was up against 'Any Other Match' on the card.
As you'll see, in the table below, the winning selection started out as a 7/20 favourite. However, a day later, its odds had been reduced to 1/3 while its opposing selection was pushed out to 2/1 from 19/10.
The next best match - or in this case: matches - of the evening were the Drew McIntyre versus Madcap Moss and Becky Lynch versus Lita bouts. Both received three-and-a-quarter stars from Meltzer. They each had lines of 2.50 in their respective Over/Unders.
With there being a difference of quarter-of-a-star between the top rated match and the next best, a prop market - which asked customers to gamble on the prospect of there being a 'Margin of Victory' of half-a-star a more between the top two matches - will be settled with 'No' winning as an 11/10 underdog to the 13/20 Kambi had for 'Yes'.
A second proposition market, in which customers were able to bet on there being 'Joint Winners' for highest rated match of the event, will be graded with 'No' also being the winning play. It was a 2/5 favourite while 'Yes' was 7/4.
The three-and-a-quarter stars given to Becky Lynch's successful WWE Raw Women's Championship defence against Lita sealed a win in a head-to-head market.
The two ladies were both up against the Roman Reigns WWE Universal Title defence against Bill Goldberg match in the matchbeet.
Kambi graded the 'Universal Championship' as the favourite to receive the most stars of the two contests.
As you can see in the first table, Roman Reigns' ref stoppage win over Goldberg scored two stars from Dave Meltzer resulting in the bet being settled with the 21/20 winner.
In another head-to-head, the women's Elimination Chamber match - which scored three stars - defeated the Ronda Rousey and Naomi versus Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville match by one star.
Observer markets for the next two major pro wrestling events - AEW Revolution 2022 and WrestleMania 38 - are currently available from the websites with Kambi's markets.
