I've Bet On Rock To Appear At Mania 38, And Here's Why

Kambi's oddsmakers have a couple of appearance prop markets available for WrestleMania 38. I was interested in one of the props before I came across a similar market on Sky Bet which offered more value.

In the prop of note, Kambi is currently offering 4/5 for 'Yes, The Rock to Appear' at WrestleMania. While - over on the Sky Bet website - 'The Rock' to appear at the venue, in the RequestABet specials, is 3/1.

On February 17th, I was thinking of what the rumoured 'Austin-level surprise' could be for Mania. One of the out-of-the-box ideas I had was for it to be Dwayne Johnson to confront Roman Reigns in order to set up a match between the two.

My idea didn't end there.

I entertained the possibility that Roman Reigns versus The Rock could be the plan for SummerSlam 2022 rather than next year's WrestleMania in Hollywood. The reasoning behind my SummerSlam prediction is due to the show being held in Tennessee - where Dwayne Johnson's career first began.

If Rock's last match isn't going to be in California, wouldn't it be just as fitting for his wrestling career to come full circle by closing it in the state he first cut his teeth?

As of the time of writing, Kambi is offering 9/10 on the 'No' in the Rock appearance prop for this weekend.

The other market from Kambi allows customers to gamble on Shane McMahon making an appearance during the two-night event.

The odds for 'Yes' are 13/25 while 'No' is 13/10.

It should be worth noting that, even though Shane McMahon was more or less sent home following the Royal Rumble - and a WrestleMania match against Seth Rollins was scrapped - Pro Wrestling Insider reports that he is expected to be in Dallas this weekend. However, as Dave Meltzer has reported in audio and in print this week, it is not abnormal for Shane to be in town wherever WrestleMania is.

Sky Bet lists 'Shane McMahon' as a very short 1/10 in its appearance market.
