How Cody Rhodes' Injury Has Affected MITB '22 And Rumble '23 Markets

A couple of betting markets have been affected by the news of Cody Rhodes' pectoral muscle injury.

Following Sunday night's Hell in a Cell main event match - which saw a badly bruised Rhodes score another win over Seth Rollins, this time inside the cell - Paddy Power's oddsmakers took Rhodes out of the Money in the Bank outright market, which he had been a favourite in.

As well as that, the Royal Rumble 2023 outright winner odds were slashed from 5/1 favouritism into 5/6.

Sometime yesterday, WWE revealed he would address his injury status on Monday Night Raw.

At the top of last night's episode , Rhodes teased that he wanted to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. The promo was interrupted by Seth Rollins, who tricked Rhodes into a handshake and hug before surprising Rhodes with a sledgehammer attack minutes later.

After seeing the angle, I checked back in with Paddy Power's Money in the Bank market and noticed that 'Cody' is now a 7/4 second-favourite. Rollins, who was 12/1 in early February - is now the even-money favourite to become a two-time Money in the Bank winner.

Rhodes is reportedly set to go under the knife either tomorrow or Thursday.
