BetOnline's WWE Clash At The Castle Odds For Saturday Morning

I have visited the BetOnline website a couple of times today as it slowly moves towards the start of WWE Clash at the Castle. Here are all of the notes I have made about the company's betting markets for the event.

Seth Rollins .vs. Matt Riddle
I first began following the market for the grudge match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle on Friday August 19th.

Opening as a favourite, with a price of -160, Rollins' price has decreased into -200.

With Rollins' odds shortening, the bookmakers currently list Matt Riddle at +160. This is up from the +120 from August 19th.

Women's Trios
The heel team of Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky have been the punters' pick to beat Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss in the six-woman tag team match.

I started following the market on August 13th. At that time, Bayley's team was listed at -300 while their opponents were +200.

The favourites are now -600 over the +350 for the team comprised of Belair, Asuka and Bliss.

Liv Morgan .vs. Shayna Baszler
WWE Smackdown Women's Champion - Liv Morgan - started off as a -400 favourite to successfully retain her title against Shayna Baszler (+250) when the market was first brought to my attention on Wednesday August 17th.

The early price cuts went the way of the titleholder because, by this week, her price had fallen into -600 while Baszler's odds had risen to +350.

As you can see, sometime overnight, BetOnline snipped Baszler's price into +300 and - as a result - moved the favourite up slightly.

A decision for Morgan is now -500.

Edge and Rey Mysterio .vs. The Judgment Day
Both teams, in the market for this tag team contest, were at -120 pick 'ems at the start of this week. The betting has sided with The Judgment Day because their price has now descended into -200 while Edge and Rey Mysterio have now been cast as +150 underdogs.

I believe the betting has gone the correct way. On Monday's episode of WWE Raw, Dominik Mysterio showed signs of being disappointed that his father - Rey - chose Edge to be his partner against Damian Priest and Finn Balor. It made me believe that today is going to be the day that Dominik joins up with the heel faction.

Earlier in Monday's episode, they had a spot in which Dominik had a cane and was going to use it against Rhea Ripley, but she was able to talk him down. I assume something similar will happen tonight, however - instead of backing down against Rhea - Dominik will use the cane against his father and Edge.

Of course this could all happen post-match. I'm hopeful it leads to the finish because I have backed The Judgment Day.

Gunther .vs. Sheamus
Another match I've wagered on is for Sheamus to get a win over Gunther in the Intercontinental Championship battle.

Winning the IC Title tonight will see Sheamus do the grand slam. I am not completely confident in the gamble because of Gunther's current push.

Taking a look at BetOnline's market, the early punters sided with the champion because Gunther fell from -400 into -600 after a few hours of the market being priced up.

Sheamus winning the contest will now pay out at +350. This is up from +250.

Roman Reigns .vs. Drew McIntyre
Betting on the main event has seen Roman Reigns' price slide after both he and Drew McIntyre opened at -120 apiece.

With that said, and as you can see above, the most recent adjustment has gone the way of Drew McIntyre because he was lowered from +130 into +120 sometime before Thursday morning.

The odds dip for McIntyre may have been due to a report that Tyson Fury will be seated front row for the match. They were confirmed a day later.

Even though I have enjoyed Roman Reigns' two-year run with the title, my head is telling me that today could be the day that the reign halts just because of everything I've written about when the show was first being put together with all of McIntyre's media work pointing out how he has been campaigning for a UK stadium show for years. On top of that, he also won the WWE Championship in front of an audience of zero during the start of the pandemic and carried the strap through those crappy months. In my opinion, he deserves the moment tonight.

Whether it happens is another thing. though.
