A couple of days ago, I published THIS POST with an InfoMap - created by the staff of BetOnline - with some research they gathered into which side, out of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, all the States of the USA could be leaning on for the WrestleMania 39 main event.
I was forwarded another InfoMap last night. BetOnline once again used Twitter data from the past thirty days. This time, however, the analysts looked up the term #GOAT being applied to WWE-specific tweets from every state to see which wrestlers were associated with the Greatest Of All Time moniker.
'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was the name which came out the most out of the 90,000 plus tweets that were tracked.
Austin's name being married to 'GOAT' had 36% of the breakdown.
Next up was The Undertaker who was valued as a GOAT by fifteen states 30%). He was followed by John Cena (16%, 8 States) and The Rock (12%, 6 States). The final three - Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels - all had one State (2%) each.
The release of the InfoMap coincided with BetOnline installing a betting market in which customers could gamble on 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin making an appearance at WrestleMania 39 this weekend.
I first came across the market at 6:30PM BST last night. At that time, Austin was +800 in the special. Then, shortly before I wrote this post all about the Mania 39 Specials, I noticed his odds had been increased to +1,000.
As of this morning (March 31), the market is off the board. I'll publish an update if - or when - it returns.
