With NXT and AEW both having shows later on tonight, I thought I would do a double bill post showing all of the betting markets that are available for the events from BetOnline and point out which selections the gamblers appear to have been siding on since each respective market has been published.
I'll start off with the markets for NXT Battleground 2023 and then cover those for this year's AEW Double or Nothing card.
NXT BATTLEGROUND 2023
Noam Dar .vs. Dragon Lee
NXT North American Championship
Carmelo Hayes .vs. Bron Breakker
Ilja Dragunov .vs. Dijak
Tiffany Stratton .vs. Lyra Valkyria
The punters have been backing Tiffany Stratton to win the vacant NXT Women's Championship because her price has tumbled from -1,000 into -5,000 since I first began to follow the odds for this match earlier this week.
Lyra Valkyria had started out at +500 before moving up to +700 the following day. She was then pushed up to +1,000 sometime before 11:00AM BST today.AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2023
Hook and The Hardys .vs. Ethan Page and The Gunns
BetOnline initially placed Hook and the Hardys as -5,000 favourites over Ethan Page and The Gunns to win the trios match with the stipulation that - should the underdogs lose - Matt Hardy will own Ethan Page's contract.
The only change in this market has seen Page and The Gunns dip into +900 while their opponents have been pushed up to -4,000.
Adam Cole .vs. Chris Jericho
Adam Cole's odds to win this unsanctioned match against Chris Jericho have plummeted from -200 into -2,000 within five days of activity.Customers can now find Jericho at +700. He was +150 on May 23rd.
Jade Cargill .vs. Taya Valkyrie
The market for the AEW TBS Championship had Jade Cargill as a -1,000 favourite to beat Taya Valkyrie (+500) when I first viewed it on Tuesday. However, by the following afternoon, the outsider's price had dipped into +300 while the champ was -500.
Upon visiting the website this morning, I noticed that Cargill's odds had declined into -700 while Valkyrie's was up to +400.
Anarchy in the Arena Match
The team of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta are the underdogs for the Anarchy in the Arena match against The Elite. With that said, it appears as though they are the team the punters are gambling on.
Starting out at +300, the team is currently +120. As a result, The Elite has risen from -500 to -160.
Jamie Hayter .vs. Toni Storm
I first started following the betting on the AEW Women's Championship match on May 18th. On that date, Jamie Hayter was a -400 favourite to beat Toni Storm (+250). The early adjustments went the way of the favourite because she was -600 on Tuesday of this week and then fell into -1,000 ahead of Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.
Since Wednesday, the betting has sided with the challenger because - after rising to +500 following Hayter's drop into -1,000 - Toni Storm has landed at +125 with a couple of days stop in-between at +250.
Hayter remains a favourite although her odds are now at -175.
Blackjack Battle Royal
BetOnline is offering two selections for the 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal with current AEW International Champion - Orange Cassidy - up against the field.
The titleholder had started as a -200 over the +150 'Any Other Wrestler'. The latter became a -160 favourite the following day while Cassidy was moved up to +120.
Wardlow .vs. Christian Cage
AEW TNT Champion Wardlow has been backed from -700 into -1,000 to beat Christian Cage in a ladder match.
Cage had opened at +400, but has moved up to +500 due to the interest coming in on the titleholder.
FTR .vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett
AWW World Tag Team Champions - FTR - opened as short-priced favourites to beat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett when the market opened up over ten days ago.
The champs were cut into -2,000 within a week and were then placed at -2,500 sometime before 11:00AM BST this morning.
With the favourites on the decline, Lethal and Jarrett have risen to +750 from their earlier +500.
AEW World Championship 4-Way
MJF has been a -5,000 favourite to retain the AEW World Championship in the four-way against Darby Allin (+500), Sammy Guevara (+600) and Jack Perry (+800) ever since the market for this contest was first installed up earlier this month.
