WWE Crown Jewel '23 Odds For Saturday Morning

It's the morning of WWE Crown Jewel 2023 and I have just visited BetOnline's markets for the event for the first of what should be a few times today as we head into the event.

In this morning's post, I'll do what I regularly do on morning's of PPVs (I still call them that for now!) and go through each match and note the early and current odds for each participant with the hope of pointing out who the bettors appear to be siding with.

I'll start with the markets at the bottom of BetOnline's WWE Betting Page and work my way up.

Fatal 5-Way for the Women's World Championship

Going by how the betting has gone for this 5-way, it would indicate the BetOnline customers expect Rhea Ripley to somehow retain her title in this multi-person match.

Starting out as the -400 favourite, when I began following the betting on October 21st, Ripley has been backed down into -5,000. 

With the favourite established from the off, all of the other participants in the contest have seen their odds drift.

Raquel Rodriquez has retained her position as BetOnline's second-favourite. Her price has risen from +300 to +500. She's followed by Nia Jax (+500 to +900), Shayna Baszler (+900 to +1,200) and Zoey Stark (+1,000 to +1,200).

WWE Women's Championship

As mentioned in a post published last Sunday, BetOnline opened a market for Iyo Sky's WWE Women's Championship defence against Bianca Belair over the weekend with Sky installed as a -300 favourite to Belair's +200.

The market has remained stationary since I began to follow it at 7:00PM GMT on Sunday.

WWE United States Championship

There was an early flip in wagering on the WWE United States Championship match between Rey Mysterio and his challenger - Logan Paul.

As you can see, in the table above, BetOnline initially cast Logan Paul as the match underdog. He was +400 on October 21st. However, within a couple of days, his odds had plummeted to the point where was a -270 favourite.

Paul's odds have continued to descend and was placed into -1,000 sometime before the evening of Halloween.

With the challenger's odds falling in this way, Rey Mysterio has risen from -700 favourite right through to +500.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

When I initially noticed BetOnline's market for Roman Reigns' defence of the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against LA Knight, the champ was a -3,000 favourite to Knight's +800.

The odds for the titleholder have since lowered into -5,000. His challenger was pushed up to +900.

John Cena .vs. Solo Sikoa

As it currently stands, pertaining to the John Cena .vs. Solo Sikoa match betting, both selections are at -120 pick 'ems.

It didn't start out that way, though.

The wagering appears to have sided with John Cena because he had started off as the underdog. His odds fell from +250 into the aforementioned -120 between October 27th and Halloween.

On the other side of the market, Sikoa has risen to -120 from -400 in the same period.

Cody Rhodes .vs. Damian Priest

I have followed the market for Cody Rhodes .vs. Damian Priest since October 27th. No changes have been made in that time.

Rhodes is the -400 favourite and Senor Money in the Bank is +400.

World Heavyweight Championship

The market for Seth Rollins .vs. Drew McIntyre has been one-sided in favour of the champion.

The oldest market on the board for today's show had the World Heavyweight Champ a -200 favourite to McIntyre's +150. Within a couple of days, Rollins' price had moved into -300 while his challenger had increased to +200.

Following those early adjustments, two latter drops have seen the champ move into -500.

A winning wager on Drew McIntyre will now currently pay out at odds of +300.

Kick Off

In what I believe to be absurd on the surface, Sami Zayn .vs. JD McDonagh was recently added to today's Kick Off show. Considering how Zayn was received by the patrons at Night of Champions, I believe they - and he - deserve to have a better position on this card. 

With that said, giving away Zayn and a highly likely strong crowd reaction - for free - might entice people to tune in for the main show.

The market for the match has had some activity since I first began taking notes on it earlier this week.

Zayn was cast as a heavy-favourite with a price of -5,000 initially. Those odds have been pushed up due to the bettors seeming to punt on McDonagh. 

As you can see, the underdog's odds dipped from +1,000 into +900 between Thursday and yesterday and have now lowered into +800.

I don't think Zayn should lose this match. They shouldn't, if you pardon the pun, kick off the event with a guaranteed crowd favourite lose even if it is not on the premium portion of the show.
